Been scouring old drafts and wikipedia and found out some interesting facts:

-Despite having three first round picks in the 1941 NFL Draft (#1 - Tom Harmon, #3 - Norm Standlee, #9 - Don Scott) none of these players ever suited up for the Chicago Bears.
-During the 1936 NFL Draft the Pittsburgh Pirates used their first ever draft pick to select William Shakespeare a football player from Notre Dame

Will update more later, feel free to add on

1965 Bears draft-

1.3 - Dick Butkus
1.4 - Gale Sayers

Rest of the draft didn't matter.

Prior to the 1998 draft, the San Diego Chargers held the third pick in the draft. In order to move up one spot in the draft, the Chargers traded two first round picks, a second round pick, and four-time pro-bowler Eric Metcalf.

With the second selection of the 1998 draft, the Chargers select Ryan Leaf. They almost got "stuck" with Peyton Manning.

The Washington Redskins committed one of the biggest draft blunders of all time in this draft. They chose Cal Rossi with the 9th overall pick. However, Rossi was a junior and so not eligible to be drafted. They chose him again in the 1947 NFL Draft, but he never played football professionally.

To set the stage for the 1974 draft, Pittsburgh drafted what would be
5 future HOFers from 1969-1972. Joe Green in 1969, Terry Bradshaw and
Mel Blount in 1970, Jack Ham in 1971 and Franco Harris in 1972.

That 72 draft also produced 2 members of the famed Steel Curtain Defense...Dwight White and Ernie Holmes.

The Steelers only had 4 picks. ALL are now in the Hall of Fame....talk about making the most of it.

You guys do realize that the 1930 NFL wasn't real right meaning that an average high school team has more athleticism today than they did in the freakin 1930['s.
