What boggles my mind is that people fail to understand that these are major league batters. Its hard to understand why people think that a closer should come in every game and not give up anything.
Maybe since 9th innings should never have runs scored in them, we should only have 8 innings?
What you say is so true its not even funny. And the sad part is, im the most guilty of the guilty. For some reason I do hold closers to a higher standard than I should.
Kind of like the ole river card in poker. That card gets way too much credit.
