Two games on tap today. It’s disappointing that all three of our pitchers yesterday held the opposition to about 1 run until the 7th inning, and no home team besides <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1lace>St Louis</st1lace></st1:City> could muster up any sort of offense. I am going to cut short the writeups a bit in order to get the plays out before the <st1:State><st1lace>Texas</st1lace></st1:State> game starts.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Believe it or not, Kam Loe made me a lot of money last year as a capable, under-the-radar pitcher. After an exciting win last night against Padilla, <st1:City><st1lace>Cleveland</st1lace></st1:City> will be asleep today in this early game. Against the well-respected Paul Byrd, a hungry <st1:State><st1lace>Texas</st1lace></st1:State> team off two losses should be able to put up more offense after a breakout game yesterday. They hit Byrd extremely well in the past, and I expect them to be up for the task this afternoon. <o></o>

<st1:State><st1lace>Washington</st1lace></st1:State> Nationals <o></o>
<o></o>
The Nats are obviously a bad team, but Shawn Hill has been one bright spot for this ailing club. Tonight the Nats will take their shot against Cole Hamels, a pitcher who is talented, but unrefined. The Phillies, after a five-game win streak, should be asleep at the wheel tonight after blowing out John Patterson. This team expects to cruise with Hamels, and could find themselves in a similar spot that the Mets did a couple days ago against the <st1lace>Rockies</st1lace>. With even money on a +1.5, <st1:State><st1lace>Ill</st1lace></st1:State> take the Nats to pull off the upset or lose by a run at worst. <o></o>
