Does it make sense to play at books that cater to the recreational player?

The odds suck, but if you like unders and going against public plays, can you find value. I'm talking about intertops,vip,etc

Absolutely. Better lines on dogs & unders and the usually offer juicier bonuses than what you'll find at the books that take the whales.
