I'm not sure what sort of witty pseudonyms Gustavo Chacin has for himself, but I'm going to call him the Sandman. <!--D(["mb","This is probably the last time you will see Jered Weaver with a +115 line and an ERA over 9.00. This guy is a pure stud. Though he does have Weaver blood in him, he throws nothing like his brother. However, he was hammered in his last start. What I saw during this start was Jered getting ahead of a lot of hitters, and then making bad pitches. I can tell you that he still looked dominant, even while giving up seven runs.
</font\></span\></p\>
<p style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"\><span style="font-size:10pt"\><font face="Times New Roman"\>*</font\></span\></p\>
<p style="margin:0in 0in 0pt"\><span style="font-size:10pt"\><font face="Times New Roman"\>Today I expect the White Sox to overlook Weaver as a result of his poor start to this season. From their standpoint, they see a rookie with a
9.34 ERA that they've never faced before…Big deal. With a 3-5 record and a
4.19 ERA against the Angels in 11 starts, I don't see Garland as much of a threat to shut down the LA offense.
