They REFUSE to ever draft a QB. Havnt done so once since Marino retired. Its only the most important position. heres to 5 more years of the Fielder, Culpepper, Feely types.

same team that had Drew Brees fall into their lap and when they had 2 all pro cornerbacks and no QB, passed on Brees and took CB Jamar Fletcher from Wisconsin who was a total bust.

then they passed on Brees again last offseason as a free agent and went after Culpepper instead.

just a retarded team :smoking:

Ginnn just seems to be such a huge risk...he has upside but damn, at #10?

I thought Ginn would fall down to the bottom of rd 1...he never really improved as a WR a OSU.

the Dolphins for so long have not just been mediocre or bad but they are BORING. 13-10 type games, grind it out.

thats fine is your a winner, when your not it gets boring. Back in the Marino days they were winners and the games would be 38-35 against a good team and they would kill a bad team 38-7. if you went to a game, you got your moneys worth.

so sick of this team at this point

I dont know how good Quinn will be, but at some point when you have a chance to take a guy who could be a franchise QB and you have no QB, you need to take that shot and see what happens

come on guys. You just dont take a QB for the sake of it. Quinn is not the answer. I have no problem with them not taking Quinn. Watch the Stanford and ND game from a year ago. Quinn has too many weaknesses and deficiencies in his game and the NFL speed and defenses would take advantage of it.

I wish they would have traded the pick but I am sure they tried.

Shocked as well. Ginn??? In the top 10?:think2: :think2: The guy will be out of the league in 4 years.
Quinn has the most upside potential and could have really done something with the fins. Idiots

Obviously, Quinn has some concerns from MANY teams.

Like I said the Dolphins made the right choice by not taking Quinn.

You dont think Ginn has an upside??? Wow!

I am happy Miami didnt WASTE the pick on Quinn and yes it would have been a waste. You guys are listeining too much to the local hype and Joe Rose.

Drew Brees was supposed to have questions. His arm they said wasnt strong enough. there are almost always some questions. some teams I think are afraid to take a pick that can be a giant public flop.

I am also a lifelong Dolfan. Even subscribe to Dolphin Digest.

Fins were right to pass on Quinn, but made just as bad a mistake by taking Ginn. Very much a reach. He would have been around in the second round. They would have been better off by trading up to Detroit, offering their #1 and #2 for Calvin.

offensive line or defense would have made more sense. their OL is horrible.

At the time I wanted Brees. However I feel very strongly that Brady Quinn was not the right pick for Miami. Very strong. Immobile QB with a weak arm does not bode will for NFL success. Plus, he is a project that would not pay dividends for another 5 years. This guy is just not going to walk on a roster, start, and be successful. There will be plenty of growing pains with Quinn.

If Quinn wasn't the answer, no way Ginn was the answer. He's fast and can return kicks but he's a mediocre wide receiver.

What a reach. One team always picks a player way too early every year and this year it's clearly Miami.

I guess we will see.

I wanted Miami to actually trade the pick.

I definitely feel strongly Quinn wasnt the answer especially at pick 9. However I am not diappointed in the Ginn pick. I am not jumping up and down either but I am just happy they didnt waste the pick completely.

I would like to know if they tried to trade the pick and just couldnt before going off on them.

Marino slid way down the board on draft day, he worked out OK.

Marino actually had an arm and one of the quickest releases ever. If Quinn had those two things, I would have been upset they didnt take him.

if Miami takes Drew Stanton or John Beck in round 2.....this draft will work out VERY well for Miami

There is a reason people are passing on Quinn left and right, and while Ginn was a reach, it is obvious Miami couldnt find a trade partner to move up to grab a QB that nobody wants anyway

with Wes Welker gone, Marty Booker aging and Randy McMichael gone...Miami needed a gamebreaking WR desperately

whatever QB they draft now, will have chambers and ginn to throw to, with ronnie and ricky in the backfield

if you want offense in Miami, it started with O-Line and WR. Oline was gone, so it went to WR.

John Beck and Drew Stanton will have just as good of a chance to have good careers as Brady Quinn, and they wont command the money, the attention or the pressure, and they will now have an extra WR to throw to...and a game breaking punt returner

ironically, with every pick that passes, it turns out Brady Quinn would have been the reach at ten.
