I know I will probably get bashed for this but how in the hell did Olson slip to 31 to the Bears? I thought for sure the Packers would give Favre another option in the passing game and snag Olson at 16. It would have been perfect for Favre, he loves to throw to the Tight End and Bubba Franks just doesnt have it anymore... Then I thought for sure he would be snagged up by another team before the Bears that could use a pass catching tight end. I am so excited about this pick for the following reasons. First of all one of the best security blankets for a young QB like Grossman is a good Tight End. On hou routes when Grossman is being pressured he will have someone to look too. Another reason I love it is with the way the NFL game has been played the past 5 years or so the Tight End position is a lot more important as teams can stretch defenses with the tight end in the middle of the field. I just hope the kid is the real deal and from what ive seen from him I think he will be....

hard to go wrong picking a tight end from miami. but i think he was better last year than this year. for whatever reason, he dropped way too many easy passes this season. he'll be a good addition for the bears. but he's definitely not in shockey's or winslow's class. but there's def a spot for him in the league and it was a good pick for the bears

I think this is a good pick in a solid draft by the Bears.

TE is good for a raw QB but Olsen is really more of an H-Back, as he's not much of a blocker.

Olsen is a big strong athlete with terrible hands for a tight end. He may work out in the NFL, but not as a receiving tight end.

lets not forget his awesome musical skills. here is his excert from the 7th floor crew song they put out at the U

"(Whats your name?) G-Reg. (What you do?) Get head. (How you do it?) Drop my drawers, let her see my third leg. Chillin' on the 7th floor, I gotta let these chickens know Big Greg is in the house, and I'm gonna to make these hoes choke. On my balls, on my dick then I bust a nut quick. On her face, on her chest, stick my dick between her breasts. Come on fellas, let's get weird. Stick your dick up in her ear. While I'm laughin at these guys, a second nut all in her eyes. (Wait a minute...in her eyes?) In her eyes."

Terrible hands????

All you ever hear about the kid is how great his hands are... By every NFL scout... They said he dropped a few balls last year do to concentration and not really being involved in the offense...

But terrible hands??
Maybe a terrible blocker... But far from terrible hands... They said his hands were softer and more natural then a lot of receivers.
I have not heard one NFL scout say his hands were terrible... And I think I will go with the experts opinions here.

Not only that but how else would he work out. He is strictly a receiving tight end.... Maybe you are being sarcastic

The 600 yards Desmond Clark had last year was the most be a Bears TE in 25+ years.

Olsen was lucky to be a 1st rounder, hope he's a good blocker. The real value the Bears got was with Josh Beakman. This guy will be in a ProBowl or 2 - count on it.
