Monday, 04.30.07 - Picks by the Numbers - [68-45]

Taking the day off really cleared my mind and hopefully that leads to us doing much better. Here are the plays for Monday...

Phillies/Braves u8.5 (-110)
Orioles/Tigers o8 (-110)*
Pirates ML (+/-???)
Cardinals ML (+/-???)

* = I know that the best available total right now is 8.5 and the under is getting major action. I expect the total to drop to 8 and we should have the posted line. I will check in the afternoon and make my play. If I don't see this line, I will change it to the widely available one.

As for the Pirates play, no line yet because they're playing the Cubs who had their game cancelled on Sunday. I'm expecting the Cubs to be the slight favorite.
Same goes for the Cardinals. Suppan has been a stud at home and under any other circumstances I'd take the Brewers. But, the Cardinals season turned around on Sunday. Unfortunately, they lost one of their guys as well. I'm going with the team that will now play every game as serious as ever. Doesn't hurt that they're the defending Champs either.

I also have a couple of HALF unit plays that I will NOT count against my record but will be laying dough on...
Nationals ML (+230) *0.50 to win 1.15*
Rangers ML (+210) *0.50 to win 1.05*

Here is my updated/completed card for tonight...

Phillies/Braves u9 (-110)
Orioles/Tigers o8.5 (+100)
Pirates ML (+132)
Cardinals ML (+123)

...and I also will be playing those two half unit plays but not counting them. I got Texas in at +196 and the Nationals in at +250.

He is just risking a little as the lines are so lopsided on both games. If he hits one of the two it is very profitable.

3-1, +2.32 units on the day
71-46, +22.76 units on the year

The only game we lost was the "emotionally driven" game lol. I thought the Cardinals would wake up, WHOOPS! I also hit one of my half unit plays as the Nationals beat the Padres. Went 1-1, +0.75 on those two plays.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come as I wasn't very happy about last week. I'll be back soon with tomorrow's plays.
