(30-8)(+19.54 units) favorite bets
(13-19)(-2.78 units) underdog bets

(43-27)(+16.76 units) overall

Decent day on Sunday. I went 3-1 on my favorite picks and 0-1 in my only dog play, so that was 3-2, plus 0.67 units for the day. I winning day is a winning day, it beats a losing day.

The crazy thing about this year is I said dogs are the way to go, but look at my record with dogs. The good thing about dogs is my record sort of sucks at 13-19, but I have lost just under three units. My record of picking favorites of -150 or less continutes to be outstanding. Whether I am just getting lucky or not, I don’t know. I just hope it continues.

Taking a look at Monday’s lines and I do not see very much. Too many favorites which I like, but the lines are over -150, and I said I am not touching them and I am sticking to it. Only two plays from me today.

Dodgers -102 vs Arizona………….I hate going against Brandon Webb, but I really like Randy Wolf of the dodgers. I did not like it when Wolf left my phillies. I always thought he was on of the best and most reliable lefthanders in baseball. Similar stats for both so far this year, so I think there is value in getting the dodgers at home and only laying -102. I will try it.

Phillies +152 vs Atlanta………I hope I am not betting with my heart on this one. I must be crazy going against Hudson who is 3-0, with an era of 1.22 this year so far. I really believe the phillies are a much looser team on the road than at home where there is a ton of pressure on them to win. John Lieber has really made the most of being put back into the rotation. I think that is where he belongs anyway. He has looked great so far in two starts. The phillies need to put Adam Eaton in the bullpen and put Randy Myers back in the rotation as well and then we have a pretty good starting rotatation. Hudson due to give up some runs and the phillies are starting to hit the ball again. Much is being made of Ryan Howards slow start this year. I don’t think people realize that Howard only had five homeruns in April last year, and look how it turned out, so I am not worried. Here is a stat I picked up from phillies.com. Ryan Howard is 6-for-18 with three homers in his career against Hudson. So maybe tonight he gets rolling again. I will take my chances with the phillies at +152.

I wish there was more that I liked, but I am not going to force plays. Me sticking to my rules is part of the reason I am having success this year.

Good Luck Everybody!!

Hudson is so strong - period and even better at home? seems like there would be better plays than Philly going against on of the hottest pitchers in MLB on his home field.
