I just hope for the NE fans that Moss to the Patriots works out better than TO to Philly did.

Moss has really calmed down in the last couple of years. Sure, he still sulks and such, but you can't compare his sideline antics to TO anymore. He reminds me more of Cris Carter than TO now.

Dub- I remember it was the closest they got to a superbowl in this whole mcnabb era.

If Moss gets the one trophy it will be worth it. Plus the financial risk alot less.

huge difference in the comparison...is the contract...

Moss is playing a 2 yr contract...and cut nearly 2/3 of his contract in 2007 to play for the Pats...estimated $3 mill/2007. So, if he acts up, then he's gone w/ no salary cap burden.

On the other hand...wasn't TO's contract an estimated 7 yr/ $49 million contract...that was back loaded towards the end...received a $10 mill signing bonus as well. Which made it diffuclt to move.

Def. not a similar scenario, imo.

Moss and TO are two different people.
Moss is signed for one year with incentives. He was willing to cut his scheduled salary from 9 mil to 3 mil and INCENTIVES.
Belichick will not fuck around with him.In 2001 the Pats had to put up with a huge distraction/disruption with Terry Glenn. They won the SB with a rookie QB and half the team they have now including the sometimes problamatic Bryan Cox on their roster.

Brady lobbied for him...They are the masters of the universe.

People need to stop comparing Moss to TO...

Moss doesn't throw his teammates under the bus. Moss was scrutinized in Oakland and it wasn't his fault. I mean Art Shell made the guy the fucking captain and Moss is not a captain. When he is on a winning team with a QB that can throw the ball further then 10 yards he doesn't whine. Moss very rarely demands the ball and respects good QB's. He doesn't go off to the media how he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Moss is a mellow guy who just wants to play on a contender and if he does he will do his job day in and day out. Sure he has taken plays off, but answer me this how many guys haven't?

He isn't known for his blocking he is known for his ability to catch the football. I would take him on the Bears.

Moss is not a cancer because he won't throw his teammates under the bus, and you will never see him on the sidelines screaming at his coaches.

Dubster. SHoot me a winner in bases via email.

I am not fond of Moss and am a little concerned. But the posts above are right on that he took less money and will be cut if he starts trouble. Still he is a little risk and I am surprised they got this punk. He looks to me to be always sulking. Just play you are a millionaire. It iwll be interesting for sure.

he is more like Corey Dillon than TO i think.

Pats can easily cut the ties if he doesnt fully buy into the team culture

I think it is borderline absurd to compare Randy Moss to TO, I really do.

Maybe it's just jealousy from all of us fans of different teams because of what a monster offseason NE is having.

Moss will have a positive year in NE.
