First off, thanks to all the cappers on this site that make betting on baseball fun and profitable. I for one have never been good at capping baseball, but am extemely acknowledgable when it comes to my Devil Rays.

I am hoping I can present some insight and information on my team on a nightly basis, helping people make decisions to bet with or against the Rays. I will try to stay away from picking a side, as that would be very homer of me. However, I will go with my own leans. Again, thanks all that make this place happen.

Ponson (0-3 8.44) vs Jackson (0-3 6.10)

The Devil Rays are back from a 5 game road trip where they finished 2-3, which is above average for this team. They have been terrible on the road, especially on the west coast. With the Rays taking 2 out of 3 from Oakland, the Rays got home feeling great about themselves. For being the youngest team in the MLB, confidence is everything.

Edwin Jackson is a career 0-1 with a 16.88 era in four appearances against the Twins. He faced the Twins earlier this year in Minnesota ( 3 IP 3 H 4 ER 5 BB 0 K).

He is still looking for his first career major league win. Jackson faced the A's last week, where two errors did him in the 5th inning. Before that, Jackson was pitching toe to toe with Mr. John Lackey.

Ponson is a career 7-8 against Tampa Bay with a 4.22 era. He beat the Rays up in Minn earlier this year (5.1 IP 8 H 2ER 3BB 6 K)

BJ Upton had a 3-HR shot off of Braden on Sunday and leads the team in BA(.357) and RBI's (20).

The o/u right now stands at 10.5. If I were to bet on this game, I would be leaning to the over with a small play.

Jackson hasnt shown consistentcy in back to back games while Ponson has been ok vs the Rays. With this young lineup, runs could come in bunches. And again Jackson's control is his biggest problem. He could be great for 3 IP, and then give up 5 ER's.

See you guys tomorrow.

Chris
