First off, I do not hate the guy

On draft day he was slipping in the draft so THE COMMISSIONER lets him and

his family go to a private suite so they can have privacy (really just so he could cry)

Now anytime i go to yahoo sports or nfl.com, what do i see? Pictures of the top few draft picks with stupid Brady Quinn there with them...why???

He was taken 22nd...he doesn't belong in that photo

Its because he went to Notre Dame and he was the top white Qb pretty boy....SCREW HIM

I thought the one who was about to cry was Jarrett the wide receiver from USC. He was really upset about not going in the first round and was just about crying when they interviewed him.

Quinn is the best pure throwing QB to come out of college since Payton Manning. He is a sure thing unlike the gamble Oakland took taking a QB who isn't close to being ready for the NFL game. Quinn is ready.

The mental part of the game is huge for the QBs and that's what everyone (including scouts) forgets when drafting QBs. They do it year after year and never learn.

Brady Quinn will have to prove to everyone how good he is just like Russell will have to prove he can play too. That's the great part about it. Both could be great and both could be out of the league in 5 years. It's a 50/50 chance 1 of them will be gone in 5 years.

I just hate when they seriously think people should feel sorry for him or feel bad for him. Uh, sure.

We should feel sorry for him from going to early first round pick to mid to late first round pick still giving him more GUARANTEED money than about 90% of America will make in their lifetimes.

Not sure who you should feel more sorry for. brady quinn for dropping in the draft vs. someone who is unemployed, has a couple kids to feed, and has less than $500 in the bank.

Brady quinn has had such a tough life. There is just so many other ways to put it than "feeling sorry or bad for him" If you want to keep it on the same level, there are many quarterbacks who go into the NFL and could be potential franchise guys but just are never given the chance. at least, Quinn is guaranteed at least 1 chance to prove himself and likely a couple more after that. If Bledsoe would have never went down in 2001, Brady would probably still be riding the bench.

I often wonder how many other quarterbacks are like that. guys that never even got a real chance to play but could have succeeded if they were playing with the #1 offense in game situations.

I thought the coverage of Leinart last year was rediculous, but it was no comparison to Quinn. They were still talking about it yesterday as if it was the top news of the draft.

The draft coverage is getting rediculous...more ESPN self-hype

...Gee, I'd hate to see if you hated him! I would much rather have you as my enemy than as my friend!

And speaking of friends/enemies, my old adversary Dr. KIA, who accused me in the Hank Aaron-Barry Bonds thread, of never agreeing with him, has just posted a post (#3) with which I totally concur.

ps. to Dr. KIA: I have a gift for you related to the recent thread in which we debated the existence of God. If you would like me to email it to you, just give permission to the moderators to send me your email address.

Why is it all ugly people "hate" good looking people?

Don't know if the original guy who called him a pretty boy is ugly or not, but in real life this is very much the case. Being called a "pretty boy" is a compliment. it means you're good looking.

It's the game of football. Being called a pretty boy is the last thing you want to be called if you play this sport. He's a p.u.s.s.y and people saw it at the combines. He'll get eaten alive in the pros.

Yeah, he's a system quarterback at best in the pro's but in general life, nothing wrong with being a pretty boy at all.

I see it ruining Tom Brady's career. and for some reason D-Wade is considered a pretty boy I guess among the homeboys and homegirl gangsta's but its working out for him OK.

Anyone who thinks Quinn is a ***** is an idiot. I'm pretty sure he could kick everyone on this forum's ass. And if you think he's not tough, you obviously didn't see the beating he took as a freshman at ND.

No problem. Do you have my e-mail?

Did you read the post that I said I love my god, but hate religious people? The people who are only using religion to act good.

I'm not sure I'd be claiming he could kick everyone's ass just becuase he got tackled a few times a game.

Thats like favre, what makes him so tough? because he claims to drink beer or because he never misses a start? Peyton's only missed 1 snap to injury in his career but nobody calls him tough.

I was actually referring to the size of Brady's arms and weightifting prowess.

The reason why Peyton doesn't have a reputation of being tough is because he plays in a dome 8 times a year. It sounds like a stupid reason but there is something to it. Also, Favre has played with injuries that would make the Mark Brunell's of the NFL cry just thinking about.

Having said that, I do agree Peyton is tough also.

Manning played with his jaw wired shut after getting it broken at the beginning of the year either in 2000 or 2001.
