We seem to have found a glitch in the system.

Yesterday I placed a wager on the Cubs. As many of you probably know, the game has been suspended. Well, my book rolled back to the last inning played last night and I lose. Even though A) The cubs have taken the lead in the game and B) the game hasn't ended.

My book showed me the House Rules which indeed say that they do NOT HONOR MLB wins and loses while wagering. Although, my bet was for the cubs 'to win'.. or so I thought.

They gave the "next day clause" as the reasoning for the outcome. I pointed out that logic would effect every west coast game that goes into extra innings (as many will pass midnight and force this rule to apply) and that they can not have it both ways.

Although they have been very cool and sympathedic, the fact remains we have a problem houston.

There are a few threads on this. Really a stupid rule.

I won my bet on the Pirates for the same reason but I still don't think it is right. They should probably just cancel all bets. Too much subjectivity involved... the umpires could have very easily called for a delay after the 6th inning with the Pirates up 5-2 and it would have been an official game then. I like the MLB rule that doesn't penalize the home team for being down in a middle of an inning however.

Oh! Is that why I won my bet?? I didn't understand that either. I won my pirates bet too and I thought the same thing. I didn't even think I should win, so in my head I pretended as if I didn't have the extra money.

That does suck for anybody who bet on the Cubs. Very unfair.

It was Betsbi. And they offered me a Bonus Play. They were cool about it. Not cool enough to admit they should change it, but what ever.

Its a standard rule, be gracious and accept the Bonus Play.

I won my Pirates bet, which I thought was lost, so I went to MLB.com and found the game was called after 6½ innings so the 4 runs the Cubs scored in the top of the 7th did not count since the home team did not get to bat their half of the 7th.

Talk about bad luck for me, I lost a straight up bet on this game because of it, and then lost out on a 4 team parlay because this game didn't hit. Just completely bad luck but oh well I guess I'll go get em today!

Woody for betting purposes they did not count but per MLB rules this year they did indeed count for the Cubbies. That is quite frankly the main reason I feel the wage rule needs to be changed to the very least a No play in a situation like this.

this is absurd. all sportsbooks should grade games when they are complete, over, done. if i had the cubs i wouldn't want a damn Bonus Play, i'd want my winnings (if the cubs win). and to lose a parlay because of this bullshit is just wrong, wrong.

Its my local book......I use bookmaker aka betcris........but Ive never bet baseball with them.....but every book is different.....they all have different stipulations when it comes to wagering on baseball......Im sure Vegas books have them too........personally, if the game is played the next day because its "just suspended" all bets should remain open.......there was a game earlier this year involving Milwaukee and Florida.......it was in extra innings but the game was tied....they continued it the next day.....so the previous inning bullshit rule didnt apply......Im not sure what some books did in that situation....Im sure it was a push for everyone....but Milwaukee ended up winning the game the next day.....if you had them, you feel robbed....if you had Florida, guess it was a good push! It just sucks sometimes that we cant control Mother Nature.....although, like I said, if they continue the game the following day, it only makes sense the bets should remain open!

From other boards.....

Bodog refunding money bet on the Cubs.

Seems like the right thing to do.

Will any other books do this now?
