Dime, once Judge posts his opinion I will move this over to the main forum and make it sticky on race day. We try to keep sticky threads to a minimum in the Offshore Forum but will definitely make an exception for Judge Wapner.

Thanks, wil

1. Sedgefield- A horse who seems more suited to the turf. Workouts at CD have been decent. Has been running since last October without a break. Not sure if he will like added distance. Speed figs are so-so. Pass.

2. Curlin- Has only run 3 races. All had impressive speed figs. Very talented horse. One workout at CD. Could very well be the fastest horse of the bunch. However unraced at 2 and only 3 races lifetime. Green horses don't win the Derby. That coupled with him being the ML fav, I'll look elswhere. This horse looks like a Preakness winner to me.

3. Zanjero- looks like a plodder to me. Been beaten by several others in this race. Not much to like about him.

4. Storm in May-Has been running since last July with no break. Heavily raced. Not what you want in a Derby pick. Slow speed figs.Only plus is a versatile running style. Pass.

5. Imawildandcrazyguy-Another plodder. Just doesn't look fast enough for these. Also a little too heavily raced at 2. Pass.

6. Cowtown Cat- Interesting horse. Won Ill Derby, but in a slow 1:51.1. Speed figures are on the improve. Will need to make another jump forward to compete with best here.

7. Street Sense- What's not to like? Has bets speed fig of the field. Has won at CD. I love Nafzger, doesn't run a horse unless he thinks it has a shot. Comes into race with 2 preps which I like. Came up just short in Blue Grass. Was BC Juvenile champ, which has never won Derby. Theory being that you don't want a horse too run too fast at 2. Maybe this is the year. Ran a monster work at CD, and I hear he looks great.

8. Hard Spun- Nice improving speed figs. If he improves off of last, it should put him in the mix. Hasn't really run against much talent yet. Has some nice works at CD. I'm not crazy about the conections here. Pino is a good Jock, but not in the top flight.

9. Liquidity- Not sure this one will like the added distance. Breeding is a question. Nakatani chose Great Hunter over this one. Should be near the lead early. Pass.

Judge when you are finished doing each horse would you be able to possibly tell us possible the top 3 that are good running on a wet track in case it is a mess.
