I think there were a couple seasons where the answer was yes, but the vast majority of seasons you'd be down

I don't think so, although I've come out ahead betting HOME dogs blind.

Don't understand why people would possibly think this was a profitable system?

Its like asking if betting all favorites will be profitable.

No and No.

If it was that easy why wouldn't everyone be doing it?

Exactly. Someone asks/proposes this every single year. Ask trains40 how it worked out for him last year...

this guy is foolish, I in no way proclaiming it to be profitable, i was just simply wondering and am going to do it for a little while for my own curiosity (which by the by killed the cat), but since i am not betting on it, there is no gain/loss.

Great First Day as the home teams went an unheardof 13-1 with most of then being favorites.

Curiosity killed the cat who acted upon his whim, you are only window-shopping. I do think it's a losing proposition, but it doesn't hurt to compile figures and see for yourself. Check out the baseball annuals for season stats on previous years. You can always do much better through line-shopping, of course.

I've outperformed those figures betting on home dogs. Do you think that is solely due to line-shopping? Thanks for the #'s.

No idea, the numbers are from covers, which are pinny closing lines. I can't imagine line shopping would make a lot of difference, maybe 10% max.

I'm confused, because in 2006 alone I showed +40 units on home dogs. 2005 +8.74 units, etc.

Only Reason This System Doesnt Become Profitable Is The League Is So Unbalanced Unlike The Nfl Or Nba.

I don't know what to tell you, I cut and pasted the data from covers and input a formula into excel to find all home teams that won and were +100 or more.
