running back

pitchers need to stop being fucking pussies. you are a professional athlete and can't keep your arm healthy??? now some guys have legit arm problems that come from when they are much younger....but they have full medical staffs and the best teachers in the world on how to warm up your arm, how to take care of it after a throwing session, etc

Running back for sure....too many bad things can happen....broken bones, concussions, hamstrings, and last but not least, being paralyzed....rather be a big time pitcher anyday....

apples and oranges. One can pitch for 12-15 years at all-star level. RB 4-5 years with some rare exceptions. Pitchers can be mediocre for 10 years, RB can't be mediocre. Thus the questiuon of health is relative to the position itself and not comparable to another position in another sport.

Quite frankly, I would say football RB as you're getting pummelled all day long and can have a myriad of injury types to deal with. There are little to no bumps and bruise injuries for a pitcher.

Strange to compare these two....I will say RB though just because football is much more physical, and the average NFL career is 4 years....aveage RB is like 2.5 years.

there is no real comparison.

pitcher. the arm was never meant to be used for the motion that pitchers pitch. That's why side-armers and submarine fools get injured less frequently, the stress on their shoulder is minimal compared to over the top throwers, let alone 3/4 hurlers.
I used to be able to throw really far but I tried throwing a tennis ball hard today and it hurt. I can't imagine throwing 100+ pitches every 5 days.

A pitcher can still pitch at 40. A RB is lucky to make it to his early 30's
