walk,walk,walk,walk,walk,walk.

Still the most feared hitter in baseball to this day.

More feared than Pujos or AROD.

Wait until he gets to 754. No one will pitch to him and want to give up the tying home run. Same thing for 756.

really easy to walk Bonds when he has Ray Durham as his protection.

It's not really a question of why walk Bonds, but rather why not?

They need to get Klesko in the lineup more.

Klesko is done, he hasn't been productive...well, since he stopped taking steroids. They might as well go get Phil Nevin.

But you are absolutely right, what they really should do is go out and get another bat to protect Bonds, because the National League West is brutal and they have just as much chance as anyone in the division to win it. They got decent pitching, they need another bopper behind bonds. Move Durham to the 2 hole....Roberts gets on, steal's second...Durham singles him home.

Exactly! Durham is a #2 hitter! Solid MLB player but not gonna put fear in anyone pitching around Barry....who is back!

Quick question...If Bonds hits 50 this year is he still juicing??? lol

He looks like he is going to blow past Aaron pretty quickly and averaging .350 to boot.

Klesko's not quite washed up IMO...still has pop in his bat and another left-handed threat (well a bigger threat than Durham). I think Klesko is a decent fit as a 5-6 hitter.

I hope you are right...he was one of my favorites when I had Pad season tix...5 years ago. But once the steroid scandal broke, him and Nevin showed up next spring training 30 lbs less...injuries set in. He really hasn't done shit since. In fact, he hasn't matched Durham's HR total from last year in five years...and isn't keeping pace with him this one.

Then it has to be said , Bonds will probably not retire, he may go for 800....If he hits 40+ and bats .350 in the post juice era, what does that tell you? People forget he was a top 15-20 alltime MLB player without any artificial help.

Bonds is on pace for about 55 homers 120 RBI 120 Runs , Bonds will be 43 in July.

He will finish his season very close to 3000 hits, not sure how important those 3000 hits are to Barry when you have 750+ homers but that may keep him around.

God forbid he goes to the Yankess as a DH with that short right field porch....can't see it happening unless the Yanks have an awful year....
