Can someone explain general horse racing terms.....

And besdies the big 3 races, is there real money to be made outside of it for a casual fan that doesn't devote his life to it?

I know what win, show, and place mean.

What is an exacta, trifecta, superfecta and all the terms like this?

And I'm sure there are poor vlong shot big money bets. likepicking ther top 5 horses to finish. What kind of odds are we dealing with on these things or if there is a page you could like me too that would be nice,

I know where I live it seems they have very small races all the time but of course i have no idea whats going on with them. They are all broadcasted over a hotel screen. Seems they are going almost non stop on weekends.

any input would be appreciated.

Some of the sports cappers I know say that the house's take on horses is too big, so they stay away.
