Even before they brought in Moss the Patriots had to be the team to beat.

In this day and age it is rare a team can reload like this, they very well could be in a great position to be a better team now then they were over the previous 5 years....realistically speaking they could be looking at 2-3 more SB visits by Brady and Co.

Tom Brady is the games best deep ball passer.

Randy Moss has to feel like he has a new lease on NFL life

New England also brought in the most versatile densive player in the game,Adalius Thomas.

They were literally ONE play from going to and probably WINNING last years Super Bowl!

Manning has Brady's number now. I am not 100% sure but I do believe Manning has won the last 3 contests between the 2 sqauds. Maybe even 4. Manning is in Brady's head now and the Patriots dynasty is dead. JMO.

The patriot moves are not "Patriot-esque." They are panic moves by a team that is older. They aren't adding players that they used to add. Its the combination of manning's ability to win the big one and the emergence of the Jets in the division.

I predict the downfall of the pats in the next 3 years.

If they win it this year or even 2 more, it wouldn't be back to back dynasties. It's still one dynasty. Same QB and same HC.

Quit trying to give something more historical significance than it deserves.

They have to be favored on paper is all I'm saying...it must be nice to be a Patriots fan too....reloading with Moss and Thomas among others is just scary.

They won 3 SBs 3 years ago and further back....if they turned around and say won 2-3 more, which may or may not happen , in this day and age that is much more significant than what the Steelers did even...it is remarkable that this team is in this position again....

The window of time any team can keep its core players together anymore is about 25% of what it was 20-30 years ago....it remains to be seen if the Patriots can string together another couple Super Bowls but the ingredients are there....I think they can be better now than ever.

The Colts have beat them 3 straight times.

To be the champ you gotta beat the champ. Last image I have of brady besides his unplanned pregnancy and wearing a yankees hat is trying to lead his time down the field for a game winning drive in the PLAYOFFS and getting picked sending the Colts to the Super Bowl

Manning: Stats, records, and Super Bowl and most likely Bowls wins

Colts are still the team and have the greatest quarterback to have ever played the game.

I do find it amusing those that are automatically putting the Pats. in the Super Bowl. Just doesn't work that way.

In fact,I doubt they even get to the AFC Championship game.

With the pats bringing in asll these receivers, do they expect to drop Brady back 40 times a game because if they do, he will be exposed for the above avwerage quarterback he is. and talk about beating the colts. is that the way to go about it? How many teams get in shoot outs with the colts and walk away with a win? Not many. When the Pats beaty the colts they did it by ball control, snow, and a little mcGinest cheating at the dome.

As a Bills fan it deeply pains me to admit this, but the Patriots have to be mentioned right along side the Lombardi packers and 70's Steelers as the greatest football teams. Whatever they do, it always works out.

That said, I hope the Colts kick their ass.

It pains me too...atleast I can admit it.

Now they get Thomas who I have been so high on for the past 5 years....like I said it must be nice up there right now. :ughhh:

The future is bright in Buffalo too. Marv's dementia has progressed to the point where it's almost a mortal lock that he'll start forgetting when the drafts are ... and we might actually get a CB one of these years.

It seems to me that most big free agents never seem to pan out? Or at least rarely seem to pan out. When has a free agent in football made a big difference? And which ones have not?

This one should be interesting. A talented player that fits a great team's most glaring need. I do not think that this automatically makes the Patriots the SUper Bowl winner. It does not work that way.

They could cut this punk if he acts up with that contract he signed. Plus gave up little to get him.

Barring injuries the Chargers will run the ball down everyones throat, with Norv Turner at the helm!!!!! Very Similiar to the Dallas teams of the nineties, a virtually unstoppable running game, coaching did them in last year. Just give LT at least 30 carries a game in the playofffs (won't get tired, an old Riggins did it for four playoff games in 83)and SD wins the Super bowl IMO.

Corey Dillon for one.

I know what you mean though, a lot don't...or never live up but there are some who have...

I am certain Thomas will be a great big superstar for NE...with or without Moss New England looks real good to me...mainly because their defense is back to where it was before....they never had a really great passing game and now appear as good as ever there.

I am not sure I agree on the defense. Linebackers are older and have ZERO DEPTH. Secondary has questions too. Samuel is not happy and something may happen there. Seconday is not close to the Super Bowl years in my view. We had a prime Harrison and shut down corner inTy Law....STUDS....secondary is not like that now.

Considering the fact you disagree with most of what I post I'm not surprised  ....If I'm not mistaken it was you who said the defense was not at all old and rebuilt just a couple months ago....let me go find that post .

Unless you have watched Adalius Thomas play game in and game out you are in for a real treat....just wait.

I do not disagree with most of your posts. Arod thing overblown. I just put more weight on it than you. That is all. Here not a big disagreement just you give them and A for a defense (maybe) and I give them a B (maybe). Just giving my sincere thoughts on my home teams. I always have a strong opinion on my home teams.
