Okay so I am coming off another winning day on Friday, did not post on Saturday because I was away and only bet on the Cubs ML at a high price and just now got back home and out of the bush. Back to making money time for me because I hate missing out and taking time off. Its been a great baseball money making season and the fun continues tonight. Here we go:

TORONTO BLUE JAYS ML -119

Alright so you might call me a homer for this one but I have not been on the Jays in almost two weeks and I personally think I have done a great job capping my hometown team this season. I know they have lost a lot of games in a row and after watching Roy lose yesterday, I don't know that this team can be saved from the basement of the AL East at the end of the season. However, Burnett comes into a great pitching spot today and I have no problems putting money on him, on the road and at this price. For starters, Burnett has two career starts versus the Rangers and two career no-decisions. He has held their lineup to a .192 batting average in those two starts with an impressive 0.98 WHIP. Kameron Loe has pitched in 5 games at home for the Rangers this season and opponents have hit a whopping .332 against him in 13.2 innings of work in this ballpark which can't be good against a Jays lineup that is very capable of having big games. I mean this is the same kid that got lit up for 7 ER's in his last home start against the Yankees. That leaves room for Burnett to pitch a so-so game and possibly still get a win. I also like the lineup for the Jays today with Aaron Hill leading off and Wells, Thomas, Glaus and Rios hitting in the 3 to 6 spots. Victor Diaz who is hitting .182 is in the cleanup spot for the Rangers which kinda tells you that the Rangers are not in for a good afternoon. I was worried that too many people would be on the Jays in this one but I think that was yesterday with Halladay versus Padilla and I am pretty sure now that not many people are going to bet on the boys in blue again. At least their bullpen got a bit of rest and they should be ready to come in today and do a good job. The Rangers have been a terrible team to bet on all season when it comes to Game 3 situations and like I said before, the lineup they put out there today tells me that losing this game won't be the end of the world for them. Burnett has been one of the best pitchers for the Jays when they are coming off a loss as they are 6-1 the last seven times he starts when the team is coming off a loss. For those who didn't know, when Loe is an underdog as a pitcher, there is a reason for it as the Rangers are 0-7 in his last seven home starts as an underdog. Loe is garbage, Burnett is due for a good start and the Jays are going to win this game. GO JAYS!

I had the Jays too. Funny that they lose 2-3 and all three Texas runs came off of solo HR's. I think you capped this game well and it should've been a 'W.'

the jays had 1st and 2nd no one out in the 7th and overbay at the plate and they could have bunted but no john gibbons lets him swing away and he grounds into dp. john gibbons will be fired by the all-star break make the tape.

Okay well that sucked ass. Burnett looked the best he has looked all season in his start and a few mistakes cost me the game and the money. Ah well...rough loss for me, had quite a bit on this game but what can you do. In baseball some things go well and some things don't and right now the Blue Jays are a complete disaster. Like some of you have mentioned, Gibbons won't make it to the All-Star Game and frankly, I hope GM JP Ricciardi is right behind him. Tonight we have:

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES ML -129

Not too excited about paying chalk on another road team after the fiasco this afternoon with the Jays but that's how life goes and I am not about to miss out on this opportunity to bet on Hamels against a rookie. No matter what kind of hype Tim Lincecum brings to the game of baseball, several good prospects have fallen flat on their faces in their MLB debuts and I don't have any reason to believe the same wont happen to this kid. He has allowed only 12 hits and one run with a 0.29 ERA in his TRIPLE A starts but that doesn't mean jack right here because the Phillies are not interested in winning only one game in this series. First of all, the Phillies lineup should only bet on when facing a right handed pitcher because they hit righties a lot better than they right lefties. I am also a big fan of betting on teams that have hit well in their last 10 games and the Phils have hit .277 which is not bad at all compared to the .240 the Jays were hitting in my earlier wager. Despite always being a good wager against lefties at home over the last 4-5 years, the Giants lineup is not the same anymore and they are hitting only .235 at home against left handed pitchers. That can't be good news for them and their backers tonight because a) ESPN Sunday Night Baseball is often one last chance for bettors to make money before having to pay their books b) because this is the last chance people will take what they think is the more enticing wager and c) Clint Hamels is quite possibly one of the most impressive young pitchers in all of baseball and I don't think he's about to be outdone by a new kid on the block. The Phillies are 5-0 the last five times Hamels has started as a road favorite and 8-2 in his last 10 starts as the favorite. This is a great pitcher to back on the road and I have no problem paying a bit of a price like this one. I understand that the Giants are on fire at home but this is Sunday Night, weird things happen and like I said before, Hamels is not about to be outpitched by some kid from the minors. GO PHILLIES BABY!
