I feel that it is appropriate to make this thread here in this baseball forum. I am sick and tired of people bashing each other and people rooting for someone else to lose their plays. Alot of you need to seriously grow up and if you have nothing good to say stay the fuck out of people's threads. I can just imagine if the Giants have won this game. We wouldn't see anyone praising Chop, right?
I only post at two forums here and SHF. Right there bashing is not tolerated if someone wins we give them props, if someone loses...We don't bash him or make him look stupid. We simply say "Get 'em next time" We're all here to beat the books not each other. BOL on your plays assholes.

Point out exactly where I bashed Chop.
I faded him, I didn't disrespect him.
I broke it down why I faded him, never once was I perjurative.
Read my posts before you call me an asshole.

Thank you !

I haven't read Chop's picks thread...but I'm guessing that had SF won, a ton of people would've congratulated him, same with ACE-ACE's football plays. Tons of congratulations for wins, tons of bashes for losses. Just the way it is.

The bottom line is when you create two separate threads announcing that you have a 5-unit play, go out of your way to tell people that, you run the risk of getting bashed.

If one can't handle getting bashed, then one probably shouldn't post plays. There are always going to be idiots who are negative no matter what.

IBETHUGE,

I didn't bash him in his thread. I said that he deserved all the criticism that he was gonna get, if there was gonna be any. And its because he made 3 separate threads all hyping up this biggest play of the year, and it bombed. People are gonna bash, but if you are an attention whore and hype up your plays like its the Apocalypse, then you're setting yourself up for bashers and criticism and this case, he deserved it. If Chop had just made it like any of this other plays in his thread, instead of creating 3 separate threads on it and hyping up Lincecum as the greatest thing since sliced breads and a pitcher who is gonna deserve -250 MLs pretty soon, then no one would have said a word. It's the way he went about it that led to criticism, and like I said, it was deserved criticism. Take that as you will.

WTF there's 3 threads?

Yep. I have nothing against Chop and the only time I've commented in his threads they were positive, but when I saw those 3 threads the only word I can think of to describe that was "amateur" and he CLEARLY isn't one. His daily threads get enough attention that had he just posted the SF play in his Sunday thread and told us how much he loved it, he would've gotten almost the same amount of attention. But with the three different threads he gets more attention and at the sametime he does a more influential job in selling the pick to people. Bad move. Whats even worse is that Barry Bonds ends up not playing and the lineup the Giants put up was one that really bothered him.

People will be on his back for a while about this, and deservedly so, but he's a pro and will shake them off slowly.

sounds like an attention whore to me

i dont think he is. i dont know it all, but i know a little about everything lol. the worst thing we can do is add more fuel to this fire instead of extinguishing it and trying to let it go slowly. anyone that followed him, HOPEFULLY, knew that there was a 50% chance chop was right and a 50% chance he was wrong no matter how convincing he sounded.

you have to give credit where it is due, and give bashing when it is due. you are not highly thought of if you dont get bashed every now and again, because that shows that people that dont care for you/your plays go out of their way to type something in your thread. its part of it and if a person cannot get over bashing on a damn internet site, then they are mentally unstable and need to leave. i bet the next big play that chop puts out will be a little more subtle.

I tend to agree.

I like Chopper, he just got caught up in the Timmy hype is all.
I *respectfully* counterpointed his points.
But let's admit it, Chop gets it done.
BTW, I have never or will I ever disrespect Chop.

Starting two separate threads in the baseball forum about a game...that is over 24 hours away...well it speaks for itself...

The POY at that point is pretty interesting...considering that it was a rookie and that no one knew Bochy would send out a true "Sunday-lineup"...anyway...

A rookie is a rookie...pressure effects people in different ways...probably would have been better if this kid made his debut during the middle of the afternoon, rather than in primetime...being the only game going on.

Yeah, that comment is certainly a good way to stop the 'bashing' as you call it Asshole, except you forgot the capital 'A'. Get a life and quit trying to stir up shit! It's people like you who are the real culprits on most forums in my opinion. Yeah you! :youmad:

Why?

IMO this place is like a locker room or a barracks, and I`ve spent plenty of time in both. If you`re going to blow your horn then be prepared to take shit. Too many guys here are easily offended. If you post and push your picks be prepared to receive the feedback. It`s give and take. Stand up & take it. I`ve heard a hell of a lot worse than this.

2 things i really dont understand ,how do you post a big play on the giants 24 hrs before we even know the lineup.to me the giants is the hardest team to post early on with the bonds factor.and never go large on a rookie making his first start.it a crap shoot imo and when i seen no bonds and a rookie i had to go with the best value and that was philly for the side small...............gl guys

you're very naive if you believe that 99% of the cappers on this site are merely satisfied winning for their own sake. In reality you're looking at a percentage of closer to 75-80% that are trying to win money, feed their egos by having it stroked by followers, and try to be recognized as the best capper on the site.

Fact is, when you create 3 threads pushing your biggest bet of the year, you're bound to get bashed when it loses. People (except for Exquisite Hoopster) didn't go into Chop's thread and bashed him. They merely prolonged the discussion of his bet which he pushed on the board in the other threads he created about the Giants-Phillies game. What did he expect? What did you expect?

I personally don't like cocky posters at all, for me it's not JUST about making money, and I have no respect for those that think too highly of themselves to begin with. I don't go out my way to bash them when they keep accurate records and units (although I do bash some that deserve to be bashed, like trains40). But maybe I'm stupid for giving respect to people on this site that are actually decent people and not just giving respect to those that can pick winners. Picking winners is the lowest factor in the respect game in my eyes, but I guess since it's a gambling site then I'm probably in the minority that feels this way.

For the record I don't think I've ever bashed Chop for his picks, including his Giants pick tonight. Although I do think he is funny.

I claimed to stop posting to you but you just never quit? wtf? :youmad:

You are the worst offender, and don't say you not cause we all know better.
