5 straight winning days, and rolling right now. Continuing today to bust through 40 units...

2* Baltimore Orioles +116

Cleveland recalls Fausto Carmona today to start because of another injury. Fausto's back was against the wall his last 2 starts, and he went out and pitched phenomenally, only to get sent down to the minors. That is very discourgaing for a young pitcher, to go out and dominate and then get sent packing, and I think Fausto realizes now, it doesn't matter how well he pitches, he will probably get sent packing again upon Westbrook's return.

Fausto has good stuff, there is no doubt about it. But he has a tendency to get too much of the strike zone. When he is on, his low-mid 90's fastball is sinking down in the zone. When he isn't, he lays 93 MPH heat right over the dish. With his confidence a little shaken today after getting sent packing, I think Carmona will have a tough road start on his hands here at Camden Yards, where the Orioles have owned the Indians.

After Carmona went 8.1 IP in his last start, I don't see Carmona going very deep into this game, not only because he should be a little more fatigued than usual after going that deep, but also just a natural let down for a young guy still feeling his way through and trying to figure out how to be consistent in this league....and that means the Indian bullpen will have to play out in this game. The weakness of this Indians team is pitching, and that can hurt them today.

How much run support will Carmona get in this game? The Indians are notorious for lighting up the scoreboard one day, and coming out the next and laying an egg. After double digit hits and 9 runs scored yesterday, and I can definitely see the crafty veteran Steve Trachsel offering a change of pace in this game with his full reportoire of pitches and giving these Indian hitters a different look. Trachsel has had good success for this Indians lineup, holding them to a .211 average over 57 at bats and just 1 homerun. At home, Trachsel pitches at Camden Yards, a Pitcher's park. With his wide array of pitches, he will continue to keep the Indians off balance, on their front foots, and keep balls in the yard. Camden Yards currently ranks 2nd to last in least homeruns, and the Indians are a team that looks for the big homerun blow with guys like Sizemore, Haffner, etc. It is no coincidence that Trachsel has been outstanding at home so far this year, holding opponents to a batting average under .200. Expect more lazy fly balls today at Camden for Trachsel, and for the Orioles to continue their hot hitting, and recent dominance over the Indians.

Hey box did I miss something from yesterday? I only saw 4 wagers that you posed and you went 2-2...and lost the blue jays bet. Maybe you forgot to post your other 2 plays or I'm just blind.

Anyways good luck today...gonna be rolling with you as usual.

Got the outing I expected out of Trachsel, but that Oriole bullpen just crapped the bed.

2* Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 -120

This game is a very easy choice. Everything you could possibly want in a game, except for a good betting line, which keeps this play at 2*. Capuano is a quality start machine, Brewers are 6-0, when Capuano starts this year. He's been dominant overall, dominant vs. the Nationals, hasnt faced them much, so they dont have the luxury of figuring him out this time aorund. Game is at Milwaukee, where the Brewers have played well. Chico has been getting lit up, and Milwaukee is the #1 home offense in baseball, and top 10 vs. lefties. Washington dead last vs. lefties. Etc etc etc. You name it, it is in Milwaukee's favor. Hgh percentage play here.

Wow you have been killing the man day after day, and I've been too busy haha.

Carmona is dealing outing after outing, I cant believe it. The Tribe better keep him on the big league level.

2* NY Yankees Team Total over 5.5 -130

Some emotional games, with benches clearing etc. I think you see both teams duke it out tonight, and both lineups answer each other's call. Like the Yanks over here, as they have had the consistent hitting in this series. Batista allows a .311 average lifetime vs. Yanks in his career, and the Yankees are one of a handful of teams in baseball that absolutely crush right handed pitching. Batista has been bad on the road, bad vs. lineups that can hit righties, and bad vs. NY. NY is hot hitting, and that is without A-Rod going off lately. Clemens announced his signing yesterday, hopes are high in Yankeeville, I think they give a good offensive effort tonight for an energized crowd to close the series.

I don't understand how Oswalt isnt getting more respect than this. He is one of the top pitchers in baseball. He has the sickest track record one man can have vs. any team. He just shut down this Reds lineup a few days ago, I mean SHUT DOWN. 8 IP 1 ER. They just cannot beat Oswalt. This is one trend worth riding. Lohse on the other side allows a .333 BA vs. the 'Stros hitters. While he has pitched respectable, this is just a tall order for him.
