Well after getting shafted by the Blue Jays yesterday, I got back on track last night with a huge win on the Phillies. I am having the best baseball season of my capping career and have made the most money of my capping career betting on this sport. This is a progressive betting thread so although I only list my first play of the day, I continously add pounders as the day/night goes on. Here we go:

BALTIMORE ORIOLES ML +110

Well the series ends this afternoon as the one and only option for gamblers. I mentioned last night that since the Sunday Night game was the only bettable sport on late last night, the public perception bettors would be wrong and have to pay the man even more after jumping on the Giants bandwagon. It looked like the obvious play but things never happen that way on sunday nights when the only bettable sport is Sunday Night Baseball. Well this is kinda the same situation. Unless you like international hockey or tennis, there is nothing to bet on this afternoon and a lot of people who lost money on the weekend are trying to kick off their weeks with a bang by betting on the obvious choice the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe lost the first two games of this series but recovered yestersay to win 9-6. As of right now, 63% of the fake bettors on Wagerline are on the Indians for this game and like I said before, the obvious choice is to take the Indians. NOT SO FAST! It's obvious to some because the Indians have a win over the Orioles with Carmona a the starter this season while the Orioles have a loss against the Indians with Trachsel as the starter this season. It is also ideal for a lot of bettors to follow suit and bet on the road favorite because the Phillies won as a road favorite last night. Well, Carmona is the not the same kind of pitcher as Hamels...thats for sure. Although he was outstanding in his last start against this same Baltimore lineup going 8.1 innings and allowing only 1 ER, the Orioles are a much different team at home where they hit .279 and have shown some signs of life in this series. Carmona has not pitched well at all on the road in his career allowing opponents to hit .297 against him compared to .273 at home. On the other side of the mound is Steve Trachsel. I don't know that I would always feel comfortable betting on this guy but the spot seems right. Trachsel pitched well in his last two starts, both on the road, allowing only 5 ER's in 12.2 innings of work but losing both games. Now that he is back at home, the situation is perfect because in two home starts, Trachsel is 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and opponents are batting only .163 against him in this ballpark. Like I said many times before, if you're going to bet against the Indians make sure you do it when they play on the road because they are hitting only .256 away from home while the Orioles hit a lot better at home than on the road. Looking at today's lineups, Victor Martinez is playing even after injuring himself in yesterday's game but he is 0 for 5 lifetime versus Trachsel so I don't think its a big deal. I really like the look of the Orioles lineup for today...nobody significant has been left out. The same can be said about the Indians but I think Trachsel is going to keep his good form and come out with a strong outing at home. The Indians are 1-4 in Carmona's last five road starts and like I said before, the Orioles hit a lot better at home and they are hungry to win this series and take sole possession of 2nd place overall in the AL East. GO ORIOLES BABY!

think you should give credit where credit is due. Toronto has lost 6 straight, faced a Texas team at the wrong time (some players especially Young really picked it up this weekend), and they capitalized on 3 Burnett errors. Don't really think that's getting the shaft, just a good game by both teams' pitchers. If Toronto was up 2-1 in the 9th or something then maybe i would agree...

I agree with you. I wasn't talking about getting shafted in that sense, I meant I shafted myself by taking these assclown Blue Jays and their pathetic ways. I am a firm believer that the winning side is always the winning side and vice versa because people have so many different ways of handicapping certain games. So the Rangers were the right side. GL tonight man!

Not trying to pile on at all, but have to agree with this. Expecting a team that is going bad to get a win in a close game is being on the wrong side. Respect you as a good capper though flava.
