Sunday one was on my worst days in a while. Overall I went 1-3 (-1.92 units). I lost my only favorite play (I told you I suck at totals) and went 1-2 with my underdog plays. I counted that total play since it was -115 in with my favorites record. I really loved the under in the phillies/san fran game and it was not even close to going under. Oh well, that is why I try and stay away from totals, I can’t pick them. Light card for Monday, especially in the American League. Here is what I came up with.
Atlanta -116 vs San Diego……………I still think Atlanta is under-rated. I know that I have been saying that over and over again, but I have had very good luck playing the braves. James is 1-0, 2.45 in two home starts this season for the braves, while Young is 1-2, 6.75 in four road starts for the padres. I think those stats alone make the braves worth a play at home at only -116.
Arizona -106 vs Phillies………….Going against my phillies again. It has costs me the past two times I have done that. I really think there must be something wrong with the phillies pitcher Fredie Garcia. He dominated the american league for years and was supposed to be the phillies savior and ace. Garcia is 1-2, 6.05 in four starts, and I don’t think he has made it past the sixth inning in any of his starts this year. He also injured his shin the other day before a game and was questionable for today’s start, but from what I have read he is going to pitch tonight. On the other side for Arizona, they are 3-0 when Davis starts for them at home, he is 2-0, with an era of 3.50. Phils had a huge win last night beating the giants and their great rookie, might be a letdown tonight.
Houston -129 vs Cincinnati……………I know the astros have been a big disappointment so far this year and the reds may even be the better team, but I just cannot go against Oswalt who is 18-1 lifetime vs the reds. His only loss to them was last year I think and he has come back to beat them three times in a row including a game last week I think, but not 100% sure. Win or lose, I will not be sorry I took Oswalt in this one. He is the only reason I am taking the stros tonight.
That is all for tonight, only three with the short card. Hopefully I will bounce back. I have not had many back to back losing days this year and hopefully this won’t be one of them.
