Yeah, a 6am tee time is really the only way to do it-and if I'm up at 6am in Vegas, I'm sure as hell not going to be in any shape to go near a golf course!!!

That brings back memories.

I played in several Olds and the very few Buick Scrambles before they quit doing them. Go to regionals and lost by 1 two times and a playoff once. They used to be in Florida every year and once went to Vegas.

2nd is great, I think you get to play with a tour pro the final day. Had some friends of mine finish 25th back in the early 90s.

we didnt play in the one where a tour pro joined us .

we had 4 of us and our local club pro .

you got a local pro after winning the event at his course.

then he went with us to the second round where we lapped the field.

then off to vegas.

we were on espn a few times.

i remember walking to the 1st tee the morning of the final round with the lead. me and another guy on the team are walking to the tee carrying a couple of beers . its 9 am.

i hear the espn guy talk into his microphone " these guys are drinking already "

I golf sometimes in Ranch Mirage during the summer. Tee off early so you can be back to the pool by 10am.

BTW, Angel Park in Summerlin has a lighted par-3 course that would be great for quick evening round. It would even be easy to share clubs if needed.

So does Calloway golf center at LV Blvd(the strip) and Sunset...just about a mile south of Mandalay Bay...much closer than Angel Park
