I actually haven't started doing this yet, but I was thinking about starting to do this.

Just basically 2 team parlay a team I like with both of sides of another game.

For example:

Take tonight's San Fran and Mets game and Tomrrows pirates/cubs game.

I love the giants so I then would parlay that game with the pirates and then 1 parlay with the cubs.

Like this...

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=650 border=0><TBODY><TR><TH vAlign=top align=left width=200>Date Time / Reference</TH><TH vAlign=top align=left width=450>Description</TH></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2><HR></TD></TR><!-- FormatWagerDescription --><TR><TD vAlign=top align=left>Selection #1

So in reality are I getting san fran straight for either 200 total to win either 215 or 350. So that line of -113 would really be +107.

You can't use this on a spread that you like that is very high juice(ex -180 and higher)
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

can this be done and do people do it?

You aren't getting it to win 215 or 350, you are getting it to win 115 or 250, you forgot to reduce the winnings by the loss of the other parlay.

Whether or not you get a "better line" depends on who wins tomorrow. If the Cubs win, your line is much worse than -113 as you are risking 200 to win only 115.

Okay, if you played SF straight up, you either:

Win $100 or
Lose $113

if you do the parlay you either:

If SF loses - Lose $200
If SF wins and Pirates wins - Win $350 (and lose $100) for +$250
If SF wins and Cubs wins - Win $215 (and lose $100) for +$115 (not to mention this is more likely if SF wins)

I am saying if the giants win tonight and the cubs win tomorrow, It will be 200 total dollars risking to win 215(counting both parlays into that). So it would be like a straight bet on the SF and it doesn't matter the outcome on the 2nd game because its still + money as long as the giants would win.

And if the pirates win it will be 200 to win 350.

Then the juice of the giants is a lot better than -113 after everything. It is +107 or better depending on the 2nd game.

How won't this work?

What about the $100 you lost in the other parlay?

YOu are forgetting to offset the loss on the second parlay

Your results are

Giants lose = -200
Giants win/Cubs Win = +215 - 100 = +115
Giants win/Pirates win = +350 - 100 = +250

Alternatively, you would be only the Giants

Giants lose -226
Giants win +200

You getting a "better line" requires the dog to win the following day. If the Cubs and Giants win, you have risked 200 to win 115, means you have turned the -113 Giants line into something close to -180.

While you can't turn a Giants win into a losing situation, you can reduce your net winnings greatly (from 200 to 115) but your winnings will increase less than proportionately (from 200 to 250). Do you really not understand why this doesn't work. Simply put, parlays pay out less than straight bets.

I was just messing around with the green guys. I have done some crazy math at times also. I will take a look at Giants since your so confident.

better yet to take the guaranteed 75% on a 3-team parlay played all 8 ways.

:lolBIG: man you are making us do calculations we aren't sure of.....

all gamblers have thought this through before and we know it doesn't work. But with these baseball lines you make it really hard.

Giants straight up - risk $200 to win $177 (-113)

Parlay:
Risking $200 for either $250 (+125) or $115 (-174)

so if the +139 wins, you get paid at +125

if the -149 wins, you get paid at -174
