2007 MLB Simulation System Record: 0-0 (+0.00 Units)

Simulation Explanation: This is something I have been working on for quite a bit of time. It's not exactly a computer-only program but it's something I came up with (got some help from a computer wiz friend since I know jack about programming) and we came up with something good. Basically the way it works is that the simulator waits for the starting lineups to be posted for a certain game. It then evaluates everything about each batter in each game without paying much attention to starting pitchers. The simulator evaluates and generates everything from how a batter is against lefties/righties, how he is against certain types of pitches, how he is in certain ballparks, etc... All in all there are about 10 different factors that are thrown into one once the starting lineups are posted.

----------------------------------------------------

New York Mets vs. San Francisco Giants

NY Mets Simulated Average: .292 ***Simulator Selection***
San Francisco Giants Simulated Average: .275

As you can see, the simulator has picked the Mets to win tonight. I ran only one other game tonight and it was the Dodgers ML to crush the Marlins but had no time to post or bet on the game. The simulator also spits out notes indicating why a certain team is a play. The notes for the Mets were that several of these guys have hit well in this park in the past, they have a returning player in Moises Alou who loves to hit lefties in this park and should have success against Barry Zito. Other notables were the fact that this lineup put out by the Mets is taylor made to crush lefties in a ballpark like this one. The simulator is not impressed with certain holes in the Giants lineup. Several guys on this team have not been hitting all that well in spots like this against a left handed pitcher like Perez and tonight should be no different. It was also noted that the Mets have been one of the best underdogs to bet on in Major League Baseball over the last year or so and they have a good track record to prove that as they are 8-1 in their last nine games as underdogs. Perez is also the kind of pitcher that is going to have success against the particular hitters in tonight's lineup for the Giants. Almost every single one of his starts have been quality starts this season. Barry Zito on the other has a bunch of quality starts but the simulator does not like what it sees for some of the matchups tonight.

SIMULATOR X-FACTOR: Barry Zito is facing almost the same kind of lineup tonight as he did in a 10-4 home loss to the LA Dodgers earlier this season where he gave up 8 ER's.

The Play: NEW YORK METS ML +109

Your simulator finds how certain hitters hit certain pitches? And it spits out notes? Your simulator must watch alot of baseball
