Well except for maybe Roger Federer. And that is a tough comparison because in tennis, you only need to actually BEAT 5-7 opponents to win an event.

TW has won 9 of 12 events since missing the cut at the US Open last year. Is that any good? Not to mention that he is first in FedEx points although he has only played in 6 events. That is ridiculous, LOL. He does not have that great a professional track record at the TPC Players course, but I would never bet against El Tigre that's for sure!

the smartest thing tiger woods ever did was talk to michael jordan when he was turning pro .

you know the first thing jordan told him was to get in better physical shape than anybody else on tour.

that was why jordan was so much better than everybody else . he was in better shape . it matters ..

woods went from a skinny kid to a stud in about 9 months .

Best ever in any sport?

Give me a friggen break.

It's debatable if he's even the best golfer of all time.
He still needs to beat Jack's record for majors.

I'm not saying he won't do it, but he hasn't yet.

And, it's clearly not settled that Federer is the best tennis player ever. Shit,
there is a couple guys on tour that have his number right now:

Guillermo Canas, and Raphael Nadal

If we're talking sports than we're talking about atheletes. Tiger is in good shape but he's no athelete. Pushing you body to the limit and still winning.
Rising above the competition when their tring their best to stop you.

Hands down, Jordan.

Yes, he had rediculously low body fat and a great deal of muscle.

I remember watching that first finals on classic or NBA channel and he wasnt anything like the beefed up Jordan bent on revenge from getting banged around by the pistons.

You totally don't account for the mental side of the athelete...in any sport...Tiger has this ability, physical and mental way beyond your comments. Pushing your body in golf is a very subtle thing that you likely have no idea about, nor the eye to see or comprehend. Go to the local muni and break 70...then understand that Tiger would likely blow you away by 7 to 10 strokes.

He will soon be the greatest professional golfer ever. Plus, there isn't a tour pro's wife or girlfriend that is hotter.

As long as he keeps his drive, he will be the best ever in golf.

I don't know you can say the best ever in any sport? How do you compare Ali vs. Gretzky? Jordan vs. Ruth? Tiger vs. Dale Sr.?
They are all the best in what they did..Tiger is the best GOLFER ever, Thats as far as you can go with it imo.He wouldn't knock out Ali, He wouldn't take Jordan to the hoop. He wouldn't deek out Wayne, He wouldn't strike out Ruth or outrace Sr.

In terms of domination of his sport and a sport that is commonly played by masses no one and I mean no one is close to Phil "The Power" Taylor in Darts.

http://www.philthepower.com/ - 13 times world champion and still going strong.

Tiger is great and it takes the mantle for me if he wins 14 of any major.

Hands down - Gretzky.

He obliterated every scoring record in the books. He changed the game.

As With Most Internet BS

This hypothesis is nonsense. Woods couldn`t hold Wayne, MJ, etc. jocks.

Golf isn't a sport. Mental toughness is one thing when you're up against a buch of out-of-shape and unmotivated (to win) silver spooners; it's quite another when you're up against guys who know full well they would be washing dishes if it weren't for their ability to play a game.

tiger..then jordan.....then gretzky

Gretzky ,Tiger then Jordan.

This guy made practically everyone on the ice with him superstars.Jordan did the same thing to a certain degree with specific players but Edmonton had guys scoring up and down the lineup in their heyday.

Records mindboggling.

Many most likely never will be touched.

Made it look so easy. Was everything and more he was touted as coming in...much like Tiger, but Gretzky was not a prototypical player coming in.At 175 lbs and never the fastest skater he relied on intelligence and pure hockey skills smash records and become franchise player that sent Oiler after Oiler to the allstar games year after year.

any order of top 3 ok with me but what amazes me about tiger is that there are 50 solid contenders every week he plays not like when jack teed it up he had maybe 12 guy he had to beat........if tiger wasn't in golf there would be a different winner almost every week but because of him there are different second place finishers every week
