How great is Barry Bonds???? The guy is one of the best in baseball right now!!!

He is hitting homeruns again and teams are walking him and pitching around him! Weak hitting Ray Durham hits behind him!

He leads him team in hitting at a .342 mark and has hit 11 homeruns! OF course he leads the National League in hitting! And he has to play in that HUGEEE park in SF!! Hitting a homer to right field or right center is a feat that not too many other players can even hit ONE HOMER to right field in SF.

Steroids or not, he is a marvel! When he breaks the record in 2 months or so, he deserves praise on his way to 800 career homeruns

To those bringing up the possible steroid use, please show us where in the MLB rulebook that it was illegal at anytime in the past. Steroids do NOT improve the main traits needed to be a hitter.

Just more idiotic hatred & disrespect towards what the man has accomplished. I'm sure all of you are saints now as well.

I am or was as a young adolesent an avid A;s fan and hated the Giants and hated Bonds for the most part.

Of course I watched alot of Giants games on t.v. and went to some games and in retrospect I don't see where he is an arrogant bastard just never rubbed me that way personaly but thats just me.

Jose Canseco yes,and as an aniti Giants fan I have respect for Bonds as when he first signed with the giants from Pirates I hated his success.

Difference between an out and a HR is 10 ft.... you don't think roids helps the ball travel farther? I remember last season Bonds hit about 5 balls at the start of the season that were caught at the wall..... would've been HRs had Balco still been in business.

Total bullshit. Steroids does NOT improve hand/eye coordination which is a huge necessity for hitting.
