My buddies and I were talking about Magic last night during the game and we couldn't figure out what has been going on with him in regards to HIV/AIDS.

He was HIV+ but has never developed into full blown AIDS right? What are the differences? Someone said that the virus is no longer even detectable in his system. How does this happen?

He looks just as healthy now as he ever has.

He's had so much sex since then that all of the HIV has been flushed from his system.

Minneapolis radio hosts Baker and Perry are "convinced" that Magic Johnson "faked AIDS"

Summary: On The Chris Baker Show, Minneapolis radio host Langdon Perry stated, "I'm convinced that Magic [Johnson] faked AIDS," to which host Baker replied, "Yeah, me too." Perry then called Johnson "the only cured AIDS guy ever."

On the October 8 broadcast of Minneapolis' The Chris Baker Show, KTLK hosts Chris Baker and Langdon Perry agreed that "Magic faked AIDS," referring to former basketball star Earvin "Magic" Johnson, who announced in 1991 that he had tested HIV-positive.
During the program, a caller stated: "What you run into is -- you run into this idea, the same way that in education we want to make all the dumb people smart even though it's impossible -- their IQ limits them -- and we're going to spend all this money to try to do something that's impossible. And you -- it's a waste of time, and you get frustrated employees, frustrated workers with all these demands to do something they can't possibly do." Perry replied: "What about diseases that are eminently treatable and you can live with for a long, long time quite healthily if you just get some basic drugs?" Baker interjected, "like Magic Johnson," to which Perry replied, "Like Magic with his faked AIDS." After Baker asked, "You think Magic faked AIDS for sympathy?" Perry stated, "I'm convinced that Magic faked AIDS." Baker replied, "Yeah, me too." Perry added: "It falls apart when you get into motivation. I'm not sure why, but I'm pretty sure he faked AIDS. ... Cause he's the only cured AIDS guy ever."

BAKER: There you go. All right, thanks.

PERRY: Like Magic with his faked AIDS. Magic faked AIDS.

BAKER: Yeah, me too.
PERRY: It falls apart --
BAKER: Which is horrible.
PERRY: -- when you get into motivation. I'm not sure why, but I'm pretty sure he faked AIDS.
BAKER: I've got a great email here from --
PERRY: 'Cause he's the only cured AIDS guy ever.

The virus has been in the news for 30 years now. Do folks still not know the difference between HIV and AIDS?

Pretty remarkable really, how fast we found basically a cure for this disease. If anyone gets HIV now, it is not really a death sentence like it once was.

Magic's son, EJ, has full support of family

Earvin "EJ" Johnson III, the 20-year-old son of Magic Johnson, recently was filmed walking down Hollywood's Sunset Strip holding the hand of a man whom TMZ reports is his boyfriend.

In the video seen below from TMZ, EJ — wearing a fur coat and carrying a handbag — answers questions about the Dodgers, the renovation of Dodger Stadium and the Lakers.

In a statement to TMZ, Magic said his son has the family's full backing.

"Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way," the Lakers legend and current Dodgers owner said. "We're very proud of him."

During the interview, EJ said he was going to "hope and pray" that the Dodgers were going to be a success this year.

But how about Magic's former team, which is in a fight to reach the NBA playoffs? When the subject of the Lakers came up, E.J. gave a chuckle and then paused before saying: "They have a lot of work to do."

Sorry for doing this but this thread is the ultimate in the "useless without pics" category. By the way that "E.J. the 3rd" on the right....
