Two September meltdowns in a row, another slow start this year with numerous questionable moves. Not like pinch hitting Howard against Arizona a couple nights ago because he was afraid the D'Backs would walk him with first base open. That would have loaded the bases for Jimmy Rollins, was so bad about that?
Probably, but I've hardly even seen Grady Little make a decision since the disastrous Pedro game, but yesteday Lowe has a 4 hit shutout going into 9th, but unfortunately for him the Dodgers hadn't scored either. In the blink of an eye, there's 2nd and 3rd with only one out. Unless there is an enormous difference between the next two hitters-and here, there wasn't-you have GOT to walk the next guy, no matter WHAT the pitcher says about getting him out, and set up an inning ending doulbe play or at least a force at any base. Little Brain let him pitch, and hadn't gotten back to the dugout good before the hitter hit a walk off. Moron!
