WTF, a guy says Tiger is beatable, how dare he say that....f**k you all ESPN...do they ride Tiger's jock that bad that a player cant even entertain the thought that Woods could possibly lose 1 event...that's just idiotic and ignorant....i'm not a bid golf fanatic but i think that's great for the sport....Rory didnt say i'm going to win or Tiger's not gonna win...he said he is beatable...anybody's beatable....Everybody's just so freakin blind and a bandwagoner that its such an outrage....i dont care if its his 1st day on the tour, there's nothing wrong with a player saying that...its a nice change from the its tiger's tourney to lose attitude.....

their isnt any network that would ever say anything negative about woods...

cause they are afraid they would lose what ever access they have to him .

he has been known to shut off certain members of the media .

I root against Tiger, not because I dislike him, but because I hate the way the media gushes about golf in general and Tiger in particula when he wins. Having said that, sorry, but Sabatini went beyond that, he said he's "as beatable as ever" at a time when Tiger has won 9 events out of, I believe, his last 13 events. That sounds like a pretty stupid remark to me. Even worse, he said that he hoped that Tiger "picked it up" so that he could get into Rory's foursome. He needs to stfu, I remember that choking dog Sergio Garcia used to talk trash with Tiger, and once they played in the same group a few times, I've hardly heard of Sergio since-and he's STILL looking his first major. Let Rory win a few times before making remarks like that...

Tiger is beatable, just not on Sabbatinis best day....even Ernie Els admits that he would have won more if it had not been for Tiger....

i just dont see it being trash talk.....maybe its just me and i'm not used to scary-ass pga, where people are affraid of tiger.....trash talk would be Terell owens saying i guarentee i'll score on him or Ray Lewis saying i'm gonna put a hurtin on him....all the guy said was he's beatable....so if drew brees was asked about sunday's game vs. Peyton and the Colts...and Drew said well he's beatable or the colts are beatable would we have this same conflict. what do u want him to say, yeah i have no chance & i'll never even come close to beating him.

The point was that Sabbitini was on the lead when he made the statement, egging Tiger to catch him so he would be paired with him on the last day..Sabbatini is all in on trying to beat Tiger this week after his round today...

They did a poll of caddies a few years back in Golf Digest and Sabbatini was runaway winner of biggest asshole on tour. He won by a wide margin to boot (pun intended).

And for someone who doesn't have much a resume at all to talk trash like this when Tiger has won 9 of 12 is just plain dumb. I really don't think that Rory has much of a brain. I pray they ask Johnny Miller this weekend what he thought of Rory's comments. Tiger deserves all the praise and then some that he gets from golf networks. Tiger is the most accomplished athlete in history even if he never hits another shot.

Too bad he doesn't play a sport.

We will never know how good of an athlete Tiger was because he choose to play a relaxing slow paced game And not a sport.

Sabbatini isn't much of a golfer but whatever you think of his honesty/trash talk the fact is he was right on the money; Tiger has won 9 out of the last 13 and he just happens to barely make the cut this week; obviously Sabbatini knew something. I like what he said; I get the feeling that Tiger may expect everyone to kiss his ass.

Golf isn't a sport; in real sports the fans are allowed to boo you and root against you. How would Tiger's so-called mental toughness hold up if he had a thousand fans cheering his mistakes? This is a crybaby who gets irritated when too many cameras click.

I take it you do not golf, Drunken. Do you really know how hard it is to be a PGA golfer? Just because a bunch of drunks can't harrass them on thier back swing, it is not sport?

i golf occasionaly and have the upmost respect for the talent and hard work it takes to be a pro golfer, but my personal opinion is that golf, much like bowling are not sports....i respect the opinion of others that they believe it is, but IMO it's not....

Dead on. Activities where the opponent cannot DIRECTLY affect what you are doing-such as golf and bowling-aren't sports to me. You can't run up and kick away an opponent's putt before it goes in, hell, you can't even
go "NOO-nan! NOO-nan!" like in "Caddyshack." I'm not impressed with self imposed pressure, not to mention the spectacle of World Second Best "Foldin' Phil" walking down the farway with his Man Boobs jigglin more than Pamela Anderson in a tank top...:nono5:

Golf is a big part of my life and cannot get enough of it and think that the fact that someone came out and said anything is great. There are too many clones and no personalities in the sport already. They make tons of money for something that we would love to be able to do and yet some are clueless to the everyday problems some people have. I have seen Davis Love tell a little kid that he wouldn't give him a autograph unless he went over to the practice range and waited. There was no one else around and it would not have taken him two seconds. I have been to the last six Masters and the last four Ryder cups and some of the b/s that the pro's do to the general public is nauseating. I know that some of the guys are really nice regular guys and some have great demands pulling them in different directions, however i think sometimes they need to take a step backwards and remember who pays the bills. And as far as El Tigre goes , i won't even start on him. I belong to a coarse where he comes into a couple of times every few months or so to see Hank Haney and he wants the coarse shut down for him and to heck with the members who pay there dues. They put up ropes and you cannot heardly even look in his direction without some interference.

There are a few of the PGA guys on tour who actually have a personality, such as Rich Beem and uh, uh did I mention Rich Beem? The rest are bores. I guess that making it on to the tour requires 24/7 dedication and they really don't have much time for anything else. These guys are far from well-rounded.....some will be able to talk sports with you, but ask them anything outside of golf or sports and you'll get a blank stare.

I also consider golf a part of my life....love to play and enjoy the many friendships that I have encountered...caddied on the Women's LPGA tour for a couple of years during the early seventies with many pleasant experiences...but there are always a few players on each tour that everyone hates and the media adds fuel to the fire...as for Sabbatini, he just went after the wrong guy at the wrong time...admire his guts to say what he feels, but picking on someone who has won 9 out of the last 12 tour events is nowhere to start....I know some here say golfers are not athletes, but they are in the minority, most everyone knows that they are athletes and their exercise regimen are well documented in magazines and TV....My opinon is that if you are competing physically with anyone or anything, it is a sport..
