As far as I know, the arrests were related to the people in Utah being dumb and processing online gambling credit card transactions.

BetUS got mentioned in the article but from the people I've talked to, it's just the "main name" they decided to include in the article.

No BetUS employee has had any trouble... it sounds like they just got a mention in the article for being one of many books that used the processor.

I think that anyone.....anyone who thinks this is good news is out of their mind....this is horrible news for an industry that is already in trouble...and it seems like really bitter people who are finding joy in others misery....the more books and processors that get shut down the weaker the industry gets and at somepoint it loses its appeal to stay in business...and then the offshore world is done...so u should probably rethink your happiness about this news...

I work in this industry and those owners of Betus.com have given the industry a black eye in not paying their customers promptly or not at all..they are known scum in the industry.:youmad:

Viejo i dont disagree with your feelings towards the betus.com owners...my problem is with each new arrest it hurts the industry as a whole and if it keeps going this way there wont be an industry to work in anymore...

I see where you are coming from, but the less of these third tier books out of the industry, the stronger the big books will be....but I do understand that small time players at these books are going to get hurt...just wish that these small players will not always go after these big bonus's.....

Im not worried about the small time player or the lousy scam books...im worried about the big boys..how much better would it be if we still had pinny,,grande post--up???? The more these things keep happening the closer it gets to the few big boys that are left packing up and going home...these guys are all scared and dont really know what to do next....

Don't know the guy but when I heard the news from someone today, I mentioned you would be the first one excited to hear it. And low and behold, I was right! :)

I understand losing Pinny was huge, but Grande's post up was really small...looks like credit packages will become bigger, but credit is hard to get if you are living away from the big markets...tuff times for books, but they always adapt.....banking and moving money are huge problems....but as I said before, the big books will survive...

I think it's great news, to me it means Bodog just moved up the list. They were already near the top, and it won't be long now. It's gonna be "the mother of all online gambling busts". And then Bodog will not be able to steal unsuspecting college kids money. And the Bodog guy will be held accountable for being a career criminal, and he'll be in the slammer with his second cousin, Joe "Cooter" Francis. And I can take some comfort in knowing that the aforementioned scumbags, especially Ayre, will have learned a hard lesson. And that is, you can't dump all over people, steal from them and be an arrogant prick, without it catching up to ya. Any day now! Bye-bye, lardass.

Unsuspecting college kids money? Who the heck are you kidding? You must have something up your butt for Ayre because he isn't that bad a guy. I didn't realize that someone with his money is a "career" criminal! Care to elaborate on that fact. What criminal activities is he involved in currently?

I did not have sex with that woman.

Seriously, last week was the first time I visited Thailand and did NOT hire a hooker. I just spent time with my lady friend from the resort. I only had a couple days there so I spent it with her.

Besides, Dubai, Singapore and Indonesia offered enough opportunities for that.
