Buff scores a goal with 5 secs left to send it to OT. Now they in double OT.

5-on-5 Buffalo scored the most goals all year.
5-on-5 Buffalo is outscoring Ottawa.

5-on-3 Ottawa is 2 for 2.
5-on-3 Buffalo is ... oh wait, we're not on Team Canada.

Hope,
Could you be any more ignorant? Ottawa special teams is both clicking and getting daily 5-on-3s. Buffalo's is not right now. That's the difference.

lander you can throw those stats up your ass. I see nothing special in these 'President Cup Champions'--NADA

what I see is a team down 2-0 and lost both games on home soil

btw-- they are not 'Team Canada', that's your ignorance speaking...........Team Canada is at Moscow at the moment getting ready for The Hockey World Championship FINALS (less Crosby and Brodeur they still made it to the finals....go figure)

poor Mother Russia......

btw I don't give a shit who wins this garbage series.

Throw the stats up my ass?

Why, because they completely contradict your idiotic statements?

It's not my fault you don't know what F you're talking about ... some people actually verify their assertions, others talk out of their ass, like you.

Apples and oranges, I guess.

they don't contradict anything. What idiotic statement did i make?

here's the one YOU MADE:

after the loss, instead of taking it like a man, you cry about the 'refs' and some conspiracy about Canada has against Buffalo--

'Team Canada'?

talk about 'idiotic'

its a joke how people think "team canada" will win 4 straight, they are getting lucky, thats the bottom line, buffalo is like 0-16 on poweplays this series, im a huge sabre fan, and i am expecting nothing short of buffalo in 6, ottawa had their fun. if sabres are on their game, they are almost un stoppable. if ottawa loses next game they are finished, that little bit of momentum is enough for buffalo to take the next 2 forsure atleast!

Didnt Ottawa shut down one of the leagues best power plays in the first round? If your banking on the power play to come around to win this series, you might be waiting for a long time.

What's idiotic is to think that somehow a team didn't earn the President's Trophy. Wtf? Did Detroit not deserve it because they got bounced by the #8 seeded Oilers last season? Of course they did - they played 80+ games to earn it.

My stats illustrate that the Sens are winning because of special teams. Common knowledge is ST has to be clicking for a great playoff run ... and they have it. More power to them ... it's not they can decline the ongoing 5-on-3's. They make the most of their ops ... Buf doesn't.

i'm curious, do Americans believe that Canadians are rooting for Ottawa cause they are a 'Canadian' team?

seriously, that is not the case. Trust me.

Ottawa domnated game 1, badly outshooting Buff.

Game 2, Buff of course, came out more inspired. Ottawa weathered the storm early and won in the end. Game never should have gone to OT btw, Buff got a little lucky as they did in critical Game 5 Vs NYR

personally, I think you're taking the stats too religiously, just my 2-censt

BTW--gl to Buffalo, I think it will be great for your city if they won it all.

there is no officiating controversy here in this series or in these playoffs at all.... to blame officiating and Toronto is a cop out.

Buffalo has had their share of lucky calls in these playoffs, as has Ottawa. It is easy to see who the hungrier team, and the better coached team is at this point. The sabres are feeding off the fear and panic in Lindy Ruff, and the sens are taking Murray's lead of confidence and defence.

VOLCHENKOV is a MONSTER!!!! WOW!!! this guy blocked 9 (NINE!!!!!) shots yesterday, 'Blocked Shots' is one of the biggest stats to look at in the playoffs, some teams are willing to sacrifice and others are not, the sens in the past almost NEVER blocked shots, totally different case this year.

Of course most would say that Alfie is the MVP of the sens so far, but if I had a vote, it would be VOLCHENKOV, ive never seen anyone play with such determination.

Um... if that first goal hadn't been called back and everything else remained the same, there was no reason to believe they would have emptied the net and been pressing (calling time out, making set play, etc) in the dying seconds of regulation. Game could have gone either way, and we were lucky to have it fall our way for once. Trust me we know all about bad breaks; it happens on both sides. Of course, Ottawa could have gone down 3-0 early and then come back gangbusters and won 11-3 or something... you never know. So speculating about what might have happened if the goal had counted is pointless. It certainly wasn't the deciding factor in the game; it happened less than 2 minutes in!

GG Sabres, you guys got doomswitched!

And didn't we win the President's Cup last year?

Most of the experts agree, based on the rule, that was NO GOAL. No Contraversy there.

Good Teams, Championship winning teams, overcome refs, politics, their opponents buildings, bad calls.... thats how they win championships.

Buff is 0-22 in their last 22 powerplays going back to the NYR series in a League where special teams has vaulted to the utmost importance.

I'd say the officiating was great too if MY team was getting daily 5-on-3's while the other team didn't get any. I'd say it was great if MY team wasn't getting goals disallowed. I'd say it was great if MY team blatantly boarded the oppositions top D-man face first into the wall with an equally illegal and disgusting hit, but didn't get called.

All depends which side of the fence you're sitting on.
