Looks like the entire world is backing Beckett today.

very large price , Beckett has won every start to date. 7-0

he has also been very effective vs Baltimore in the past 2-0 ERA under 2

something has to give sooner or later. :ughhh:

BTW Beckett has also won every start by more than -1.5

O's counter with Jeremy Guthrie (3 career ML starts) could it be more obvious?

Take the Birds. Sox have never seen this guy and Beckett is way overdue for a pounding.

The Orioles for some reason have played the Sox tough even though they have been a bad team for the past 10 years.

didnt have the balls to play guthrie on the moneyline but i took a piece of the runline. guthrie is one of those enigmatic pitchers with a ton of talent that he hasnt tapped. indians spent a ton of money on him coming out of college only to see it blow up in their face. but he didnt win all those gms at stanford by being a complete bum. orioles arent exactly throwing a tomato can out on the mound today.

Well history says if Beckett struggles, Baltimore +240 and the over 9.5 parlayed would be the play....currently it pays $100-$641

Francona wanted to use the pen today because they haven't been used in forever (according to Gary Thornton)

very wierd, but so long as he isnt hurt it is a relief.

I have Beckett at 25-1 to have the most wins by anyone this year

Terry is really being careful with him and Pabblebon.

Itll be a shame if the sox put up the runs needed in the next inning or two.

I wish Papelbon would go back to being a starter and they would trade for a reliever. Im afraid Papelbon will get hurt and even if he doesnt, they are being so careful with him, he cant help the team as much as he could as a starter.

But it was Papelbons decision to go back to the pen. I think they should have told him no. He is valuble as a closer, but there are guys out there who can get the job done. Papelbon could I think be better than Beckett as a starter

Thanks Slapper.

Seems like something a nice pinpoint needle and some rubbing alcohol would cure.

Guthrie pitched a really great game, I got to give him credit.

16 ground ball outs.

This is not a good sign for beckett and the sox....As most of u know when Josh begins to have the blister problems they seem to linger and usually concludes with a stint on th dl....

beckett and blisters are not a good mix. was a big problem with florida. now could derail him with the red sox.
