Mine was couple of years ago..... was driving home from Vegas when I clipped the edge of the highway (2" above the dirt shoulder) at 90mph..... the car began to skid from one side of the highway (2-lane) to the other as the tires screeched loudly. Probably looked like Apollo Anton Ohno on ice skates..... had I panicked and tried to correct the steering or slammed on the brakes, I would have rolled 20+ times before slamming in to the overpass.

The weird thing is, I wasn't scared at all.... just sorta resigned to the inevitable.

As I somehow regained control, I heard someone honk twice.... as if to say "You lucky SOB!!!!!!".... when I looked around, didn't see any cars as it was after midnight.

2. when i was 8 almost drowned in a swimming pool., when i was 12 driving home from soccer game in back seat got in horrible auto accident. gladly everyone was ok. i probably would be in crap shape though if my friend didn't come along because he made me buckle up. i never wore my seatbelt before then. if he didn't come along might have been paralyzed or dead, divine intervention on my side that time.

Hey maybe you were the kid I saved from drowning! 20 years ago when I lived in an apartment, the manager's son (around 10) was riding a bike near a pool and sure enough, he falls in. He obviously couldn't swim as he was barely staying heads above water. Unfortunatley I couldn't swin either. Luckily there was a pole nearby and I was able to pull him out.

Never heard a thank you from him or his parents.... we did get a note though.... a reminder that our rent was due. Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Couple of months ago I car turned in front of me while I was on my motorbike. I hit the front quarter panel and flew into his windshield and bounced back the opposite way. That was pretty much the only part of the car I could have hit and been relatively ok since the windshield absorbs a lot of the force and I hit it at an angle. If he'd been a little quicker I would have slammed into the side of his car. If he'd been a little slower I would have flown off into traffic.

1. drowning as a 6 yr old got pulled out

2. my coach was driving van in denver, it was icy and he was looking for a ski rental place. guy flips from opposite side of road up in the air over the concrete median about 20 metres in front of us (he didnt have his seatbelt on as I saw him getting thrown around inside), my coach never saw him till I yelled about about 5 metres, was a pretty big collision at 75 miles an hour

the other guy died but we just had bumps and bruises.

like one of those a-team episodes was what I was thinking watching it.

Don't know if it qualifies as near death but had a fight in Ybor City (club district/ghetto of Tampa) when I was in college about 4 years ago. Working for Club Skye on the street promotion, words turned into fists with some black guy, switched a blade on me but before he could slice police came and he ran.

Realized how lucky I was when a couple months later a frat brother was jumped and got literally the shit kicked out of him after work. I'm talking a few nights hospital stay.

Needless to say I quit, and stayed out of that ghetto peice of shit.

About 17 years ago I went surfing and got sucked out by a riptide and couldnt get back to shore floated out there for an hour or so thinking about sharks etc. Then I saw that there was a sandbar nearby got onto that rested a bit then swam back to shore. Scared the shit out of me though.

I've had 3:

1. Drugged at a concert in NYC and ended up wandering around Harlem about 12 years ago.

2. Hydroplaned at 85MPH a year ago into two guard rails.

3. Wasted at a Buffett concert in FL and went "swimming" in the everglades - only to get lost in a snake/gator infested swamp.

Somehow I am still here although I have scars on my arm and chest from the last one and the thorn bushes.

Was in a car accident a few years back - car hit a deep puddle, aquaplaned and flipped into a couple of feet of marshwater.

3 of us got out with minor injuries, but my mate in the passenger seat died - the weird thing was that before we set off I sat in the passenger seat but jumped out and got in the back after my mate said that he had already called shotgun...

Probably was the time i was driving on a very snowy night on a rural road and started to skid across the other side only to miss all oncoming traffic and play bumper cars with the snow banks, ended up unscathed somehow in the snow bank on my side of the road.

That and the time me and my buddy went to a bulls game, got REALLY shitfaced and he drove my car up to Lake Geneva area in Wisconsin looking for a strip club we had been to year before, on the way up on rt 50 in Wisconsin he has the pedal floored "it says it goes 120 MPH but it won't go above 105!!!, pice of shit" to this day i consider it a miracle we didn't get killed along with someone else.
