Media mail is pretty much out now.

Gas prices are over 3 bux EVERYWHERE now..

So the question is, where is this cost of living upgrade going to come from? Are our employers going to make up the slack? Shouldn't there be some programs in place by our government instead of giving BILLIONS away for a useless fucking war instead of helping us AT HOME?!

For the 1st time I feel like this country is going straight to hell, its really not a good feeling.

Maybe you could stiff a few ebay customers like you did Neteller to make up the difference.

Just thinking outloud.

At least USPS is giving us the "Forever Stamp". I'm going to use my life savings to buy all the "Forever Stamps" I can.

As I understand it, the forever stamp is basically going to be good no matter how much the stamps are increased in the future?

Right.
But from a financial perspective, and based on previous postage rate increases, you're better off investing that money elsewhere.

yeah what a joke that is.

The fact of the matter is its NOT the 2 cent increase in the price of stamps that is the story here, as usual the media totally missed the boat on this one, its the MAJOR increase in things other than letters that is just shocking...

So you want a government solution for government caused inflation? That's like drinking alcohol to deal with depression.

Thank the REtardeD states for the current day debacle.

If some corrupt MFer says he talked to Jesus then it must be so .... better vote for him just in case. These are the same states that piss their life savings away on the 700 Club - what do you expect?

The USPS is not really the culprit. If compared to other countries USPS is likely the best in the world, even with 800,000 or so mostly overpaid employees.

I don't think any other country manages to deliver mail at a cheaper rate.

parcels and overnite stuff are different, UPS and Fed-ex blow USPS away, but the monopoly for letter mail is fairly efficient in US. I don't think Canada or UK, or anybody else does it better ( costwise) but probably does better in employee morale.

USPS is a miserable fucking place to work at for sure !

Total price gouging!

Remember a few years back, gas 'skyrocketed' to 2 dollars a gallon and truckers from all over were protesting in Washington? Now its jumped another 50-60% and not a damn thing our govt is doing about it....and why are prices not inline with the cost of crude oil per barrell, which have not jumped?

BTW -does the Bush administration even tackle any other issue besides this war in IRAQ? (which they have failed so miserably at) What else has GWB done? Oh thats right he went down to Louisiana and observed that clusterfluckup by FEMA.

Our govt could give a damn about its citizens....I never had that impression untl the past 6 years.
