Sterns and Foster. Its not cheap but very good. Two things I don't mind spend money on is a bed and shoes. Roughly 8 hrs a night in my bed and spend many hours a day on my feet.

second on the tempurpedic. Best thing I ever bought. Well, tied with my 56" TV, but thats a different catergory.

Get the real thing, not a cheap immitation. There are showrooms that carry them, test it out, you'll never go back to normal mattress

Skinsraj has a matress for sale. :missingte

ha I figured someone would post something like this.

Too bad I trashed my old one. I'm sure Spread would've loved a bodily fluid-soaked mattress.

It's a good thing I soak my new one in my own urine daily. You can buy it if you want, SB.

FYI..like cars mattress prices are negotible. If they say no, go somewhere else. I bought my Full size bed for $550 tax included and the sticker on that bitch was over $800. Didnt know this was possible until my friend starting saying lets go somewhere else. There are tons of mattress stores out there.

Also, spend the money. Dont be cheap. One of the best investments I've made.

Pay the extra money for the King sized......better yet, California King....

Nothing like a big fucking bed....even if you don't have a girl that sleeps with you on a regular basis right now you might in the future and it's so much more comfortable...best decision I ever made.

Very true. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until after I dropped 2 dimes on one.

Stearns & Foster is good, been about 5 years since I looked for one so I don't recall the other good ones. Spend the cash and go to a mattress store and check them all out. Lay on them, figure out which one you like. The double pillow top ones are sweet.

Someone also told me that all of the big brand names (like S&F) make generic brands for department stores like Macy's under different brand names. Supposed to be the same mattress for a much lower price. Don't know if it is true though.

Good advice. I definitely negotiated the price of my mattress and got free delivery and pillows thrown in. There's too much competition for them not to work with you on the price.

Tempurpedic is what I am looking at next (ie memory foam).

Of course, they are expensive.

My question is this:

I have seen many imitation memory foam mattresses that are alot cheaper than tempurpedic. are these mattresses mcuh cheaper for a reason? are they as good?

Are you paying for the name when you buy tempurpedic at 3K vs another memory foam mattress at $800?

Temperpedic is not for everyone.

I bought one about 3 years ago. It was awesome for the first month.

After that, I had back pain in my middle back every single night. I could not sleep.

I took it back after a month of living hell.
