I am driving down there for the long weekend and was wondering if 2 nights was enough?

Also, if we're a group of 5-6 guys, what are the best places to checkout in this city? Great nightclubs? Best Casino? Best restaurants? In terms of beach activities? I've never been and don't want to be scrambling to do things in only two days. Since we're there such a short period of time, would love to hear about the best things to do and see.

Thanks

Don't go to the beach, unless you are looking for used syringes. It's a dump.

Nicest casino is going to be the Borgatta, by far the nicest place there.
They recently remodeled some of the Tropicana, where the shops and restaurants are, it's a bit nicer too. I never go to AC without eating at the Hooters in there.

Not sure about the nightclub scene, I always gamble the entire time I'm there.

Have a good time.

Thanks Juice...is the beach really that bad? One of the main reasons were going is to catch some rays and plays some beach v-ball or whatever.

if you're going to the beach, go a town or two down and go to ventnor or margate...about a 10-15 drive.

We are still working on a hotel reservation.

How is the parking in Atlantic City? I mean I think we're just gonna get some rooms right in the city within walking distance to the casinos and all but if we decide to stay out of the city, is parking easy in AC?

The beach behind AC has a sign that says NO SWIMMING - no bullshit.

Ya, there are huge parking garages by the casinos, not very expensive either, so that's not a problem.

So maybe it's better to stay in Wildwood or something...and head into Atlantic City for one night.

Also, maybe check out this site http://www.atlanticcitynj.com/new_site/newcalendar/coe.aspx
for shows or whatever.
Tropicana used to have a comedy show like every night, but I never caught it. I see D.L. Hughley is performing on Sunday, he's a riot.

awesome...thanks for the link. The dilemma now is with the location of the hotel. Not sure if I should book it in AC or maybe in one of the others towns with really nice beaches.

Im renting my beach house out in wildwood. Bout a 30-40min drive down the parkway..actually, wildwood has one of the top ranked beaches in the country, go figure, its certainly long enough.

I would book the hotel in AC...your beach trips are going to be daytrips and margate, ventor, long port, and ocean city are all within 20 minutes and have nice beaches.

I'd rather be staying where i'm going to go out at night (AC)

I lived down there for multiple summers, this is your best bet.

The best casinos in AC are Borgata, Caesars and Tropicana.

I would suggest you stay in AC and go to the beach in Brigantine. It's about 5-10 minutes from the Borgata. Avalon and Wildwood are nice but it's a good 40 min drive.

The Quarter at the Tropicana is nice. Plus they have the best poker room (IMO), Hooters and The Quarter.

Most of thre beaches on the Jersey shore are the same, but what makes Wildwood the best is they have alot more beach space. It's actually a hike to go in the Ocean lol.
