I've heard alot of good things. There is a new place in town that just opened and they have it on the menu. It is listed as market price, and I know its going to be expensive, but steak is my favorite food. I don't mind paying the price if its worth it.

it's excellent...the only thing you have too put out of your mind is, this meat came from a baby calf that is less than 12 weeks old...

Aren't the cows pampered like royalty for kobe beef?

i think these cows are massaged so their beef is more tender.

I don't know if I would pay the price to eat it. Maybe if you want to splurge and just try it once...why not.

It's great but it is also very expensive for a steak - like $75 for a steak.

I get my Kobe/Wagyu meat from this place. The steaks are good but pricey.

The Ground Beef is by far the best deal and works out to about $13 a pound which is great because it is 100 times better than regular ground beef/sirloin. It is unbelievably good!

Plus if you order $99 or more and click the little blue box on the front of this catalog, you get your choice of a free bonus.

I bought waygu/kobe steaks for my dad last Xmas, from Allen Brothers. I think it was around $120 for two small ass pieces.

The marbeling was absolutely stunning. We both had never seen anything like it.

When he got around to eating a piece a week or two later, he called me up and left a message saying how great it was. It's one of those guilty pleasures in life.

Next up, king crab straight from the Bering sea which I will do for father's day. Except this isnt going home, we have to share. :)

On a side note, that dry ice these guys use to ship with will knock you on your ass from the carbon monoxide. Good god, I couldnt get it out of my apartment fast enough. My lungs started to hurt.

Think you meant carbon dioxide unless you had a furnace problem. Didn't know you were a Rush fan....he always pushes Allen Brothers. Steak Dogs are awesome but pricey...same for the baby back ribs.

Kobe beef is great. I've had it once when I wanted to treat Mom on a Mother's Day and splurged. I didn't want to eat the regular steak that my girlfriend was eating at the time. You have to treat yourself to it atleast once if you don't mind spending the extra cash.

Had it at Harvey's at some restaurant called "19".The bill was on them so we ordered the most expensive shit on the menu.It was good but not great,if you know what I mean.If your going to cook it yourself make sure you know what youre doing because if you cook it to much you'll ruin it.

It's crazy how expensive good steak can be in Japan. Saw the menu of a restaurant that sold it's steak for about $950 per 100 grams. I thought that was crazy and a mistake so I asked and the price wasn't a typo.

thanks for the input guys. My wife and I are the type who are willing to pay for great food and service. We are not very materialistic (sp), but we do enjoy fine dining. I seen where the 10 oz. Kobe beef at the bellagio is 175$. That seems a little crazy.
