Let's roll. Penny has been absolutely ON FIRE so far this year & I don't see the Angels changing that.

That's what I have felt about this game, but I am finding it surprising to see so many on the home dog, LAA. Let's see how this one goes.

There interleague games can be goofy-especially when you toss in home town bragging right. I still think that Penny shuts them down, but we shall see.

Cheers :toast:

Given the value of what you are getting Brad Penny for in this game, I like the Dodgers, again even though I am a huge Halo's fan, Santana has been beaten around and I think the Dodgers will squeeze this out.

Angels had to get home from Seattle...Dodgers went 30 minutes down the freeway...I'm on the Blue...Penny pitching well...Dodger offense getting it together...

That's what I thought too Cy. However, Penny not looking good right away as he went to 3-1 with the first batter and the 2nd batter hit a double to score the 1st guy.

Man, lucky to get out of the 1st with only 1 in.

Not the start that I was looking for.

Wow as a Halo's fan, I love beating the second best team in LA. I was talking to my friend on the phone and I was like, Brad Penny AND HE'S ONLY LAYING 110? I was like, ok, I smell a rat, but he was pitching well all year, hard not to take him laying that little. Anything about the statistics that could have pointed to this happening? Only other thing I saw was the -135 opening line bet all the way down to -108 at some places so money was coming in on the Angels before the start of the game.

That's what I would like to figure out. If we could figure out this aspect, we'd be rolling in the money. This was a surprise last night, I mean if they looked at the numbers, so many things pointed to Penny (focusing on the Penny/Santana matchup) and looking at their last few starts & historical information. The only stat that was positive for Santana was that he's handled himself at home.

I just don't understand why everyone flocked and bet on LAA instead. :think2:

As for the books putting out the original line of -130/-135... that'd be what I would have put out myself to try to get some LAA action on +120/+115 at first. End up looks like so many was on LAA so the line "had to come down".
