No worries, Yankees are negotiating a deal to bring back Ron Guidry

Guidry had a great great year in 1978. He was the man. Giambi, Abreu and co struggling mightily. Still plenty of time to go.....

Red Sox got rained out.

This was going to be a very very tough game as we had a shoddy pitcher in place.

I had it marked as an ATL win to be quite honest.

Is that a guess or an offer. If the latter, I'll gladly risk $100....how do you want to set it up?

LOL. Definitely not an offer. It is the odds I think on your proposition. 100 bucks? That is it?

10-1 on winning division

5-1 on Wildcard!

I was pretty sure you weren't going to pay out $10,000, but you might pay a grand.

I'm going to the strip this weekend and see what the odds are locally, I mighty just do it. It's not even May yet, the Yankees will grind it out and by the dog days will be right in the mix

That is pennant not division. Yanks will always get a lot of respect like above. Surprised they are so close to the Sox tho right now.

Pennant should be even higher, wow...Yankees always get way to much credit....But if they sneak in the WC they have just as good a shot as if they won the division (well almost)

They aint catching Boston.

I know its pennant, no division up at 5D. They lag at times, and you can get a hot team cheap,or a slow starter at terrible odds.

So my odds at 10-1 are way too high? Ok, Yanks are the Yanks and have won how many division titles that last 10 years.

So division has to be lower right?

Yes. but it doesn't mean they are right. There could be a change coming. You think for pennant Yanks and Sox should be close? I think the Sox should be a little higher than that.

Boston is going to thud to earth by the end of august....The league will catch up to Dice-K, Shilling's ERA will hover around 4.0 by end of season, Beckett will miss at least 10 starts now that the chronic blister has returned, Youkilis, Crisp, Lugo, Lowell, Drew, Varitek....Blah

But I love Ortiz, and Manram should start his annual tear shortly
