I am coming off a 2-0 Friday, made some minor non-posted wagers yesterday but all in all the Sabres cost me large in hockey. So back to the bases we go, won a huge tennis wager at +100 this morning but had no time to post it on this forum. I have been getting hot again in baseball, all my leans won yesterday but didn't get in on them so now it's time to make some cash money. Alright, here we go:

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS ML -133

I watched the Arizona-Pittsburgh game last night and let me tell you that when one team collapses like the Pirates did (blew a late six run lead), things start to change for a ball club. What I mean by that is that losses or wins of that nature are big time momentum changers and I don't have any doubts that the D-Backs win set the tone for the rubber match today. I also have no problem at all betting on Randy Johnson at this price because he has been a victim of very bad luck while pitching well in almost all his starts. Neither team has particularly hit well versus left handed pitchers this season so this game comes down to which pitcher is going to take command early and grab the crucial lead before shutting things down. Every indication points that this pitcher will be Randy Johnson. I know the team is only 1-2 in his last three starts but its not like he hasn't pitched well. In those starts he has allowed only 14 hits in 19 innings of work with an ERA of 3.79 and an impressiver WHIP of 0.84. Pat Maholm on the other hand has not had any support from his players. The Pirates average only 2.9 runs per game when he starts this season and they are also 1-2 in his last three starts so he is vulnerable here. In those three starts he has allowed 21 hits in 17 innings of work with an ERA of 6.35 and a WHIP of 1.47. That should be enough to get the Diamondbacks the few runs they need to grab a lead and then I expect Randy Johnson to shut things down. The last two times Maholm pitched at home against the D-Backs, Pittsburgh lost 4-2 in 2005 and 7-4 in 2006. This is not so much a bet on the Diamonbacks because they have not been hitting well at all but again it's more a bet on the momentum in this series after what happened last night. I don't think the Pirates will have much trust in their bullpen after last night and that should result in them leaving Maholm in there for a few innings too many. The Arizona bullpen has been about twenty times more reliable this season and that could play a huge part into this game today. I also have to point out that Arizona is now 9-1 in their last 10 games where they are the road favorite (it doesn't happen much but when it does, they almost always win) and I think the win last night could finally inject a bit life into this dormant offense. We all know how much the Pirates struggle against Arizona having dropped 6 of their last 7 against them and that should continue with RJ on the mound today. The Bucs are 1-5 in the last six games where Maholm has pitched and they were underdogs which is a clear indication that this is the wrong spot for him to be pitching and winning games. The combination of Johnson's pitching, the Arizona bullpen and the ability to grab the momentum in this series is why these guys are going to cash in today. I am starving for some green and its up to the D-Backs to serve me some CASH FUCKIN MONEY VEGGIES BABY!

Let me just add a bit of fuel to the Arizona fire with some information and tidbits that are clearly boosters for anyone considering the D-Backs. Here are some stats helping explain what the two lineups for today are all about. Remember though, this is purely for D-Back backers to feel good.

Orlando Hudson - Hitting .308 lifetime versus the Pirates

Mark Reynolds - Hitting .429 this year as a rookie
Scott Hairston - Hitting .357 lifetime versus the Pirates
Carlos Quentin - 2 for 7 in this series with 3 RBI's
Chris Snyder - Hitting .251 lifetime versus lefties compared to .214 versus righties
Randy Johnson - Has 35 career RBI's as a hitter

Pittsburgh Pirates

Freddy Sanchez - Hitting .244 in daytime games this season
Jose Bautista - Hitting .167 versus lefties this season
Jason Bay - 2 for 7 lifetime versus Randy Johnson
Xavier Nady - Hitting .238 at home this season
Ryan Doumit - Hitting .235 versus lefties this season
Adam LaRoche - Hitting .182 in daytime games this season
Ronny Paulino - Hitting .200 in daytime games this season

Another cash money winner. I missed all the 4pm baseball games so I will have to wait until the SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL (dont know if I will bet it). However, in the meantime, I have a large wager in Memorial Cup Hockey action for those who can bet on it.

Another big winner, this time in the hockey forum. With enough time to cap the Yankees-Mets game, I'll be back with a pick and writeup for Sunday Night Baseball.

Okay so I am off to a scorching start to the day and with one bet left on the weekend, I am looking for a huge win heading into an even bigger week of betting. I think the only sport I didn't bet on this weekend was the Preakness because I was out and missed the cutoff but other than that, it has been a great weekend and I am really really hungry for another win tonight. This is not an easy game to cap but when you dig deep, you find good stuff. Here we go for Sunday Night Baseball:

NEW YORK YANKEES ML +125

Alright everyone listen up. So it's Sunday Night right now and this is the only betting option left this weekend on the menu for sports gamblers. Bookies are expecting to get paid tomorrow morning and 60.92% of the chumps on wagerline.com are currently pounding away on the Mets line. But somehow, the line opened at -155 and has now dropped to -132 for the Mets...meaning even more people are going to jump on this juicy ass line. Well put 2 and 2 together here and what does this game tell you? It tells me that everyone on the Mets is going to get screwed into thinking this is easy money when in fact, it really isn't. I mean why the hell would the line be so low? The Mets won the opening two games of this series in covincing fashion, the Yankees have a pitcher making his first ever Major League start and the Mets have John Maine on the mound. Did you know that the Mets are 9-2 in their last 11 games with John Maine on the mound as the home favorite? Or how about 10-1 in their last 11 games when John Maine is starting on 4 days rest? Yes, all the signs point to a Mets win but this is a bad spot for games like this. First of all, the one and only inning Maine ever pitched against the Yanks, he got lit up for a whopping 6 ER's on 7 base hits. Don't think for one second the guys in the Yankees lineup have forgotten about this. Alright let's talk about this Tyler Clippard guy coming in to pitch for the Yankees tonight from AAA ball. Clippard is 3-2 with a 2.72 ERA in Scranton Wilkes Barre this season and thats good enough to let me know that the 22 year old is capable of throwing a nice game. I mean at this point with the Yankees so far back in the division and the Yankees having lost 7 of their last 10 games, the kid has virtually no pressure on his shoulders to do well in this spot since nobody else is doing well anyways. Clippard is a strikeout artist who can throw in the upper 90's when he wants and from doing a bit more research, I also found that Clippard has a wicked curveball and some of the best accuracy in the minor leagues right now. That would explain why he doesn't give up a lot of runs. Also, this Mets lineup is hitting only .265 versus right handed pitchers compared to .332 versus lefties while the Yankees have had more success in recent weeks when batting against right handed pitchers. The Mets bullpen has also been pretty damn shaky the last 10 games and I don't think they can be trusted against a Yankees team that is going to fight to the end to avoid the embarassment of a sweep in this series. As well as Maine has pitched, the Mets have supported him with only 3.7 runs per game of support his last three starts and he has been walking batters a lot more and has a WHIP of 1.65 in those three starts. Watch out guys because the Yankees are 5-1 in their last 6 road games versus a right handed pitcher while the Mets have traditionally struggled against American League right handers the last few years. Tony Randazzo is behind the plate for this one and I don't know if many people know this or not but the Yankees are 12-3 the last 15 times they have had Randazzo (Yankees fan???) behind home plate calling balls and strikes. Too many obvious factors point to a Mets win in this game but when you dig deep and look at all the possible side-factors and X-factors, they all point to a Yankees win. I think Clippard is going to do a fine job although possibly a bit shaky at first, the Yankees bullpen will clena things up and the Yankee bats are going to get going tonight and bring home the bacon. I am determined to get a dog sooner or later and its up to the Yankees to hook me up with some CASH FUCKIN MONEY HOT DOGGIES BABY!

Not bashing just trying to point out these stats you put up are pointless... You distort every stat to make it go in your favor... like only the positive stuff for one team and the negative for the other... you distort the stats which you can do for any game...

Dude I got that reaction the other day when I did the same thing with the Cubs. Read what I wrote on top of the lineup where I clearly say that I distorted things for D-Backers only to make us feel good about the bets, hence the long writeup on the Dbacks in the first place. GL tonight.
