Losing night last night going 2-3 (-1.28 units). I went 1-2 with my favorites and split my dogs. Overall on this interleague weekend I won 0.23 units, so I am not going to complain. I usually get destroyed in interleague. There is still a ton of interleague left, we just got a small taste of it so far. Only about half the teams playing today, fairly small card. Here is what I come up with for Monday.

San Fran -134 vs Houston………….This is a pitching rematch of a game played last week in which I had the Astros and Lowry and it lost. I am coming right back with it again today…this time at San Fran. Lowry was unbeaten against the Astros before that game with a 3-0 record and 1.17 ERA. In the game last week he pitched eight innings only giving up two runs. His opponent pitched a great game as well, but throw in the fact Lowry’s history and this game is at San Fran this time and we have some value only laying -134.

Yankees -139 vs Boston……….Much being said this weekend about the redsox and how they are running away with the al east. As much as I hate the Yankees, you cannot count them out. You know it and I know it. As much as we would like to, we can’t. They showed a little something last night beating John Maine and the Mets to avoid embarrassment. Now they are in a similar situation with a very important series against the hated redsox. Anything can happen in a redsox/Yankee game. Wakefield actually has Boston’s best era going into this game. That is impressive with their staff. I get the feeling he is way overdue to get rocked and my gut tells me it is tonight.

White Sox -123 vs Oakland…………Yesterday the WhiteSox bats exploded. Yesterday the A’s bats were left in the locker room and I am hoping today we have more of the same. Blanton is 4-1, while Contreras is only 3-4, but his era is not that much worse. Contreras pitched well in his last game even though he lost and he has already shutdown Oakland once this year getting the win with an era of 1.50. Blanton is a good pitcher, but he is not a great pitcher. He will not keep up this pace all season, that would make him 16-4. Even great pitchers lose games. I think he is going to run into a brick wall. Sox have some confidence after yesterdays explosion. Once the sox get to the A’s bullpen, they are really in trouble. Again, I have made money playing these small home favorites all year long. Great when they when, but they don’t kill you when they lose, unlike those -180 or higher favs I used to bet on. Good value again in this one.

That is all. I am surprised I even found three games I liked with the short card today. I will be happy with a 2-1 day and gradually add to my total. I don’t have the flashy record, up 70 units. But when you consider my plays are all for one unit, I am having a nice season.

When I read that, I realized you had a great point. Many cappers do post "1-unit style", and they can be overlooked when they only have a respectable +20 units out of it. A lot of good cappers here are at +40 or +50 units but those are with many 2 or 3 units picks (with some higher). That do begs the question how we can differentiate the confirmed records/units depending on how the cappers play their units. At least, people should be made aware of your good season at just 1 unit per play. Keep it up!
