Braves +125
Braves are slumping right now but they had signs of breaking out of it over their last couple games, with a lot of slumping hitters getting a lot of hits. McCann, Kelly Johnson all hit well over the weekend, as did Francoeur, Diaz and Thorman. Andruw is still a mess but he's been dropped to 6th so his strikeouts shouldn't be as much of a rally-killer if they continue.
As for the pitching matchup, as a Braves fan I am 100% not fooled by Jorge Sosa's hot start. This guy has a tendency to pitch well for a few games here and there and then just implode. He has pitched well so far, but has a full point higher ERA on the road and the Braves did have this guy for a couple years, so I'm pretty sure they'll have a good book on him.
As far as Kyle Davies, he has pitched considerably better in May than in April, with an ERA in May under 4 in 3 games after going over 6 in April. In his only game against the Mets this season, he went 6.2 and gave up only 2 ER on 2 solo HRs, otherwise pitching well giving up only 4 hits and striking out 8 while walking only 3. And at plus money, at home, I'll take the Braves...
I'll also throw a unit on Braves -115 to win the series. Liking Davies to win tonight, I can't see Smoltz losing his game, and it will certainly be around -140 or higher, so I'll take the Braves to win at least 2 at -115. Good luck all! :aktion033
