Broncos receiver out on bond after assault arrest

ARAPAHOE COUNTY - Denver Broncos receiver David Kircus has been charged with assault. He's accused of hitting a man in the face at a party over the weekend.

Sunday morning at about 4:30, Arapahoe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 8200 block of South Krameria Way regarding an assault.
The caller told emergency dispatchers, a man had just been hit in the face and the suspect was leaving the scene in a black pickup truck. The victim told deputies Kircus is the man who hit him.

Investigators say Kircus was invited to the home by a female acquaintance. They had some kind of disagreement and Kircus was repeatedly asked to leave the home. Kircus is accused of hitting the homeowner in the face. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Kircus turned himself in to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Monday morning. He was placed in custody and transported to the Arapahoe County Detention Facility.

Kircus was charged with second degree assault, a class 4 felony. His bond was set at $6,000. Kircus posted bond and will appear in court Tuesday morning.
