If the Suns do this, they are STUPID!

Why would you trade your 24 year old stud for a slightly washed-up 31 year old whose best days are behind him???????????

I mean they are a defensive-minded big man (e.g. Roy Hibbert) away from reaching the finals!

I'm hoping the Bulls can get in the top-5 tonight so they can trade that pick with Ben Wallace for Garnett.

Mchale isn't stupid enough to make that trade unless it's the first or second pick.... is he?

Garnett needs to get out of Minnesota - the guy is going to be remembered by no one in 10 years at this pace - he's not even making the playoffs anymore.

You think ben wallace and a a #5 pick will get them garnett? I would bet against that. if they are talking Amare for Garnett why would they settle on a 5th or 4th pick for garnett. You think ben wallace has any value to a team like the wolves who suck?

Lakers should do whatever it takes to get him. I think he and Kobe would play very well together at this stage of their careers.

What if the pick is 1.2 and Oden is off the board? Bulls will trade the pick. Really only need Oden from the draft.

durant or oden for Garnett would then be a GREAT deal for the wolves. But once you miss out on the top two, i think you are really reaching by giving up garnett for a 3rd pick this year.

It would depend on the best players world-wide who enter the draft.

I think Garnett is considerably better then Amare. I think Garnett is way better all around player. Suns realize they need defensive guy to win it all. KG is all pro D and can still run.

If you think:

a) Roy Hibbert is a defensive-minded big man

and/or

b) Roy Hibbert would fit into the Suns style of play

then you've never seen Roy Hibbert play. Never.

Or maybe you've just never seen the Suns play. Either way.

Garnett is a world class player

Amare is an overrated youngster with no defense or post moves

most of his points come from dunks after being set up from someone else

Yep, Amare has no post moves whatsoever - he dunks great when he is wide open - he has a great shot and nails FT's - but he's not a big man - he's a SF that is 6-11 - he provides none of the toughness the Suns need - in Game 6 he goes for 38 and TD has 24 and TD completely dominated him.

Hibbert on the Suns - hahahaha - the offense will be on one end of the court and he'll be on the other - then vice versa on defense.

Stoudamire's game is perfect with Nash. He has those explosive head start moves off that pick and roll and is lethal as Nash always gets him the ball on time and in the right position. He is really improving his 18 foot out game though also. But as far as a better player in a normal system, KG wipes him out badly.

Hibbert had 18 games with 3 blocks or more. He anchored one of the nation's best defenses last season. Not defensive minded? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

And since when does a fast break involve all 5 players? All you need is 3. Hibbert can alter or block a shot then throw it out to Nash to start the fast break.

Hibbert is far from defensive minded. Trust me. I have watched every one of his games since he joined the Hoyas… He is a solid defender in college hoops but most <?xml:namespace prefix = st2 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:cs:smarttags" /><st2:NumConv6p0 sch="1" val="7">7</st2:NumConv6p0>-<st2:NumConv6p0 sch="1" val="2">2</st2:NumConv6p0> guys in college are going to be blocking shots and playing D… Overall, Hoyas D was great b/c all <st2:NumConv6p0 sch="1" val="5">5</st2:NumConv6p0> can defend and JT<st2:NumConv6p0 sch="1" val="3">3</st2:NumConv6p0> preached defense.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>
Hibbert’s main weakness is he lacks athletic ability and cannot run worth dooo doooo. Also, he is not in that great of shape compared to college athletes. He was subbed out of games numerous times b/c he was flat out exhausted. That was JT<st2:NumConv6p0 sch="1" val="3">3</st2:NumConv6p0> biggest complaints of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Roy</st1:place></st1:City>’s before last season. He got much better but he still has a long way to go… I personally think he would be a terrible fit for the Suns. He would fit into a team that plays ½ court offense not a run and gun system.<o:p></o:p>
