Atlanta lucked out by landing the #3 pick...had it been one lower, they would've forfeited it to Phoenix. That would've been outrageous.
I'll be surprised if the Hawks don't take Conley with one of their picks, to attone for passing on Deron Williams and Chris Paul.
Making out with #3 and #11 was the best-case scenario. They should compete for a playoff spot next season.
Happy the Celts got fucked again. Goes to show what tanking does for you.
I think you're right with the Hawks taking Conley, they will be real hesitant with Wright since Marvin Williams burned them terribly.
Who do you think drafts the token huge Chinese guy?
The Celts did not tank. They lost Paul Pierce for most of the season and he wasn't the same when he came back. They also lost tony allen midseason and he was averaging 20 a game.
Rivers also tried to force Pierce and other celts to play through injuries to be competitive.
I hate seeing Druant go to Seattle. Already nothing but a perimeter team, I guess if they can get something good for Lewis it might be alright. But it is a cheap as team and never is on TV.
Portland should be in the playoffs next year and a contender within two years.
I would be shocked if the Hawks take Conley jr.....on a side note, i dont think he's worthy of a top 7 or 8 pick....Something about him makes me think his game won't aculmate to the NBA well, although if he gets in the right system mythoughts might change.Atlanta lucked out by landing the #3 pick...had it been one lower, they would've forfeited it to Phoenix.
