Oh yeah baby! Back in business last night with two huge winners on Baltimore ML and LA Dodgers ML and don't think im about to stop right there. I decided to sit out the first two games of the day which means I actually showed some kind of discipline for once. Alright, like you guys know, I am only posting the games I bet on and only posting the ones I liked when I capped the night before. This is actually the only game that stands out today and I am pounding away. Lets do it!

SEATTLE MARINERS ML -120
Back in business is the best way to describe this underachieving Mariners team and by the looks of things, oddsmakers have not yet made the needed adjustments. We are talking about a Seattle team that should have a lot more wins and a lot less losses but that are slowly picking up steam after winning the first two games of this series. Let it be known that the Mariners have not swept a three or four game series all season long and the emphasis today for these guys is going to be to bring home the bacon before taking on the Royals. It's important for them to win this game not only because it would be their first three games sweep but also because the Royals are a beatable team and if the Mariners can keep winning in Kansas City, they will then head to Anaheim for a huge three games series against the Angels that could decided who takes the lead in this division (Angels have a 4.5 game lead right now on Seattle). On the mound today for the Devil Rays is Jae Seo who has had success pitching against the Mariners in the past (2 career starts) but this is a whole different ball game and he is in for some surprises. In his three home starts, Seo has been horrendous allowing 5 HR's and 14 ER's in only 17.1 innings of work. The D-Rays are 1-2 in his last three starts and he has allowed 16 hits in 15.1 innings of work in those starts with an ERA of 7.04 and a WHIP of 1.43. It's also important to note that the Tampa Bay lineup has not supported Seo with any kind of power, averaging 2.3 runs per game in his last three starts. That can't be good news in this game seeing how the Mariners are sending a left handed pitcher in Horacio Ramirez and the D-Rays are batting only .239 versus lefties in their last 10 games. Ramirez has been rocked in his three road starts this season but those were against the Tigers, Red Sox and Angels (all three are division leaders). So now that he faces the bottom feeding Devil Rays, expect to see a brighter side to Ramirez on the road. In his last three starts, the Mariners are 2-1 and are finally starting to realize that supporting Ramirez with runs is what works for him. In those starts the bats have hooked him up with 5.3 runs scored per game and 7.1 runs per game scored on the year when Ramirez is the starting pitcher. The Mariners bats are finally starting to come around as they are hitting .301 versus right handed pitchers in their last 10 games which immediately tells me that Seo is going to get himself in trouble most of the afternoon. So now that we have determined who has the edge in starting pitchers, you have to admit that the Mariners bullpen has also been great. In their last 10 games, the bullpen has an ERA of 2.37 and thats great news for Seattle backers just in case Ramirez starts getting out of hand. One thing is for sure about this Seattle team is that when an opposing pitcher is struggling, they sure as hell know how to punish him. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games versus a starting pitcher who's WHIP is higher than 1.30 on the season and Seo's WHIP is at 1.80 on the year. Tampa Bay is turning into their usual disfunctional selves recentlty and not to blame Dukes for his personal problems and all but let me tell you that they don't help. The Devil Rays have lost five straight at home, are showing no signs of improving and making things even worse than that is the fact that the D-Rays are 0-6 in Jae Seo's last six starts versus the American League West (powerhouse hitting teams usually). I really like the fact that not many public squares are on the Mariners here because I really sense the urgency for this team to get the sweep and I have full confidence that they can pull it off with the guys they are throwing out there today. Tampa Bay has too many problems right now and Seo is not about to solve those problems. The way the Mariners have been hitting, I have no doubts they are going to come close to winning every single game from here on in before the big clash with the Angels next week. That clash of course would be for first place but only if the Mariners start by winning today. Its really really hot today so its up to the Mariners to keep things hot and show me the CASH FUCKIN MONEY WITH SOME SPICE BABY!
