WASHINGTON (Reuters) - BETonSPORTS (BSS.L: Quote, Profile, Research, an Internet gambling company, pleaded guilty to federal racketeering charges and agreed to supply witnesses and evidence in a case against the company's co-defendants, U.S. prosecutors said on Thursday.
By pleading guilty to the racketeering conspiracy charge, the company admitted that it operated an illegal gambling business, laundered money and committed mail and wire fraud, U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said in a statement.
BETonSPORTS submitted its plea in federal court in St. Louis. The founder of the company, Gary Stephen Kaplan, earlier this month pleaded not guilty to racketeering and other charges.
